Great video! Properly gave our derby the just coverage it deserves. Just an addition to the celebrations, the player at 8:08 is called Eskil Edh and is a local player who has played in Lillestrøm his entire life. A proper fan who stood with us just as a regular fan only a few seasons and chanted the same songs. A player who truly understands the duties of his role, tearing up every time he hears his chant. 💛🖤
The same goes for our goalkeeper Mats. Also started out as a fan, and then progressing as a player from our youth department to the senior team. And also the National Under 21 team

I could mention that the guy who did the worm (?) came to the pub after the match and did shots with some fans :D (The sporting director was there as well. When we won the semi final in the cup last Wednesday, the coaches were there drinking with us. Gotta love this club.)
I have to agree with the replies here. And, I think this kind of video is better received from those fans who only watch their team on Sky and haven’t experienced Millwall/West Ham and the like. Don’t get me wrong, Euro videos are always interesting and must be a great experience for creators, it’s just the whole atmosphere aspect will excite some more than others.

Please come back for the next Derby of the season. 22 oct in Lillestrøm. Come to the pub Martins before the game. You will love it. Its even better then this Derby. Lillestrøm is on fire everytime Vålerenga comes to Åråsen.

The players and away fans at the end was amazing. I remember when i was 11 and watched wales v Poland in 2002 cardiff and the polish fans at full time was something else. Ill never forget that amazing scences.
Cool to see you were there. Vålerenga is my team. I was gutted. You are spot on about Premiership footballers. They are lazy, selfish, rude and ungrateful.
Great video, it was an amazing experience being there. Sadly it enden with disaster. It's really cool at the start of every game Vålerenga plays a song called "Vålerenga kjerke" it translates to vålerenga church, but when the ref kicks off, the music turns off and just fans sing. It's a moment that brings goosebumps
spot on. football is primarily about the fans & the crack they have. the result can make or break the day but first & foremost its about the crack. once upon a time i travelled with wales to netherlands. we lost 7-1 but it remains one of the best trips i've ever been on.
That was great. Something different from a standard football vlog. My knowledge of Norwegian football is largely confined to players who make it big in the PL and the hilarious Norwegian commentator getting carried away after Norway beat England in a World Cup qualifier back in 1981. Norwegian football was semi-professional back then and no one gave them a chance. The Nordic countries have strict laws concerning the sale of alcohol which may be why beer wasn't on sale at the stadium.
I’ll have to try and dig up that commentary if possible. That’s fascinating regarding the beer. It was surreal just the day before seeing fans with 6 pint crates, necking back lager (Denmark), then a sea of black coffee. But I’m not complaining, I like coffee.
If you want to try another game, try Rosenborg-Molde at Lerkendal, or any Rosenborg, Brann, Vålerenga or Lillestrøm game at the 16th of may, which is our national football day!

I totally get where you're coming from. Players at all levels of sport need to have at least some awareness that part of the fan experience is a connection to the players that can in so many ways be off-the-pitch rather than on it. Back in the day (1996!) the LA Galaxy had fan meet-and-greets, and even a hangout event where I chatted and played pool with Cobi Jones. I remember these events far more than any of the games I attended that year, and I still consider some of the guys I met there to be my favorite players.
@@stuntpeggnieve Love your channel, BTW. The leagues and teams need to hear from folks like you who are down in the trenches supporting their clubs, living and dying with their ups and downs. So well said at the end about the responsibility these players carry. We give so much to just be a face in the stand singing our hearts out! Keep up the dope content. New fan here. Came from the recent away days vid!
Exactly this. Appreciate you coming over, Aaron. Thank you!
WOW i did not expect anyone to visit norway for a match! super cool that you do and i appreciate your channel a lot.
norway has been in steady rise with it league, we may not have better ultra displays as sweden does but the league is a bit exciting and my very own bodø glimt took europe by storm not too long ago.
What a game and what an experience! Thanks for sharing these with us
Wow....that was absolutely fantastic. The passion was just extraordinary. Oh how I wish I was born in Scandinavia!!.....have you ever thought of going to Greece and catching one of the local derbies there. The fans border on maniacal
Loving your videos from Scandinavia so far. Really enjoyed how the players and fans interacted at the end. The only club that does anything like that in the uK is BRENTFORD, Thomas Frank and the players do a lap of honour while the fans dance and sing to them. Check it out.
Now that’s a proper fan and club connection amazing from a lufc fan
Please come back for the next Derby of the season. 22 oct in Lillestrøm. Come to the pub Martins before the game. You will love it. Its even better then this Derby. Lillestrøm is on fire everytime Vålerenga comes to Åråsen.
Great to see you back, loving the content you've been making lately. Hope you are keeping well :)
Thank you Trevor, I’m keeping busy but not forgetting to stay in touch with family and friends so I’m happy. Hope you’re good too.
What a video. Love your documentary style
I'm from Norway, and Norwegian football are on its way back up. Gotta love these rivalries. Lillestrøm are in the cup final. They will make a wild show I think:)
This didn't age well did it, love from Bergen
The players and away fans at the end was amazing. I remember when i was 11 and watched wales v Poland in 2002 cardiff and the polish fans at full time was something else. Ill never forget that amazing scences.
Cool to see you were there. Vålerenga is my team. I was gutted. You are spot on about Premiership footballers. They are lazy, selfish, rude and ungrateful.
Adoro tu canal, tus videos son fantasticos, logras transmitir la emoción del momento a la perfección. Es un gusto verte, saludos desde México.
When the fans kept singing it was such a beautiful moment and lovely surprise. Thank you Fornavn
Loving these away days to amazing locations and countries
another cracking show thank you ut is great to see all these great stadiums steve
premier league seriously lacks this kind of passion, agree completely with falling out of love with football.
Bit of Viking legacy coming out in those celebrations. Love it. Great Vlog😊
Fantastic content! Lucky with a great game as well, keep it up
You went to Norway, amazing! Such a shame of a match as a Vålerenga fan, but must have been an amazing atmosphere!
Stuntpegg, she so gets it, so understands. Amazing videos
spot on. football is primarily about the fans & the crack they have. the result can make or break the day but first & foremost its about the crack. once upon a time i travelled with wales to netherlands. we lost 7-1 but it remains one of the best trips i've ever been on.
So happy Norwegian football is growing and getting recognised.
Bodø/Glimt førr evig! Warra match this one tho
Bodø GLEMT mener du 😂 etter semifinalen på Åråsen
Norwegian bets ! Profit every month on equal payment
per single.
Bodø/Glimt and your "product", you mean? In your dreams. Stay plastic.
@@runenummedal6957 Ikke glemt etter kampen i går
I'm here because I read an article about your visit to this match. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see you in Finland.

Visiting different football matches in different countries, youre living the dream
I had no idea you were coming to Norway! I hope the rest of your stay was as enjoyable as that football match!
Another brilliant Video, Pegg! Greetings from Germany - Broelinho 🤙🤙
I loved this video, I didn't know it was so much pyro in our football lol.
GL in the future Nieve Pegg, great videos.
Thank you very much!
@@stuntpeggnieve You are most welcome
If you want to try another game, try Rosenborg-Molde at Lerkendal, or any Rosenborg, Brann, Vålerenga or Lillestrøm game at the 16th of may, which is our national football day!
Awsome video! 🤩You have to visit our homeground Åråsen stadium. When we meet Vålerenga later this year :) (22.10.23)
I’ll keep the date free in the diary! Thank you 💛🖤
Best supporters wins the game
Your such a powerful speaker, I’m sure we will see you giving interviews on the tv soon
Thank you so much, that is so kind
@@stuntpeggnieve your welcome I have subbed looking forward to more of your adventures
Lilesström fanı zorla maçı yendirmiş gibi hissettim. Muhteşem bir maç hayatımdaki en keyif aldığım maçlardan birisi de bu maç oldu. Lilesström I love you 🎉❤😊😂❤🎉😊
It really is great to see you pop up on my subs list again putting out excellent content. I wish you the best and hope your Bolton does well in the Playoffs and you have a amazing day at Wembley and leave with a promotion.
Cheers from across the pond in Boston
I don't particularly like either club, but this video does them both - and above all football as it should be - justice. Very well done.
just stumbled across your channel - you're fantastic, keep it up!
Thank you very much Sam!
Completely agree, Kyle. I’d love to play a game of pool with one of my favourite players, great story.
@@stuntpeggnieve Love your channel, BTW. The leagues and teams need to hear from folks like you who are down in the trenches supporting their clubs, living and dying with their ups and downs. I wish I was out there still, but I moved away from my team 20 plus years ago and don't have a local team to support any more. Such is life in American soccer.
I have been to 5 lillestrøm games and all of the has had amazing chants
Amazing words Nieve. Another great video.
