    I'm just a new beginner in this field and aim to be doing this awesome work in the future. Great work, sir! You've taught me a whole lot since watching your videos. In fact, you were the person that prompted me to start a new career in upholstery after being a master auto tech for 37 years. I'm tired and my body has been wrecked for too long, so I now have a better outlook on life knowing that there's something else I can hone my skills with. I started with a Singer 4423 and found out quickly that "heavy duty" doesn't mean industrial. My birthday is June 8, and I purchased a Consew 2206RB as a present to myself from the local sewing machine sales place. I can't wait for it to arrive in a couple of weeks from now! Thank you for the inspiration!

    Maestro, recomienda las máquinas singer para tapicería? Soy principiante y quiero iniciar gracias a sus videos

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  4 года назад +2

      Singer es una marca americana tradicional que tiene fama de ser muy resistente y duradera.
      To sew vinyls and leather your would need an industrial sewing machine especially designed for this purpose.
      There are three kind of industrial sewing machines:
      A regular simple transportation sewing machine (the feed dog does the dragging of material)
      ruclips.net/video/V_IYfp7zBfI/видео.html
      A double transport sewing machine (walking foot): (the feed dog and rear foot does the dragging of material)
      ruclips.net/video/1wsyvUsZsRU/видео.html
      A triple transport sewing machine (walking foot): thre components do the dragging of material: feed dog, front small foot and needle: ruclips.net/video/U3HBXBDDKoo/видео.html
      I would recommend once and for all a heavy duty, walking foot, triple transport sewing machine. A used in good shape sewing machine price goes from 300 USD to 1000 USD.
      The other machines are also good and their prices are lower.
      Trade marks: Pfaff, Singer, Brother, Consew, Juki, Durkopp&Adler, Sailrite, etc.
      You could get some assistance directly from the seller.

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  4 года назад +1

      I used 1/4" of an inch medium density memory foam (used for tennis shoes insoles)
      To ease the process I would recommend to do it with a roller foot sewing machine.
      The white cloth (muslin) on reverse side is a backing to reinforce the foamed shapes.
      If I do not use this 'backing fabric' the foamed shapes will flatten.

      White spirits (white gasoline) and benzine are good to remove those white pen markings.

    May I ask , what type of marking pen you are using? Your work is absolutely amazing!!!

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  4 года назад

      Certainly! It is called 'silver pen leather marker'

      www.leatherseats.com/shop/professional-upholstery-supplies/t-1000-silver-ink-pen.html
      Shoemakers use a liquid called 'washer' here in Mexico. By its odor seems to me as 'benzine'

      It is a little difficult to do this design with a walking foot sewing machine. The ideal machine is a roller foot sewing machine. It would be much easier.
