Miss Westlife! I’m still sad about they cancelled the concert in Denmark. My mom give my tickets because she knew how much I loved Westlife and she wanted me to have a perfect Christmas gift after a bad Christmas at my biological fathers house. I remember early 2000's i was still in Secondary about to finish when N Sync sang this. Those days were the best days of our lives. We were poor but happy and music then gave us hope. I remember when westlife merged there were bands like Backstreet Boys , Boyzone and they came and fitted in that space. Later to carry it with all their hands. We were blessed to witness such artists

Since going solo, Shane has made 3 albums- 2 of which where full of original songs. This is the first one that he's made that has some covers (there are at least 3 originals in this album) he made this album for us, his fans, by asking US what OUR favourite love songs are, seriously how many other artists would do that? All this for the people who have supported him from the start, his way of saying thank you and all some of you do is complain that he's doing covers, what a way to show your appreciation. He sings ballads because they are what suits his voice and they won him most of his fans from westlife and after, embrace his unique talent and what he gives to us.

Among the younger singers, Shane Filan has the best voice and vocal technique. He has not released any new recording for a while. A perfect song for him to cover is "Times of Your Life" sang by Paul Anka (1975) (also great potential to be used in commercials, because it was originally written as a Kodak commercial. Recently Downy softener used it again, but the ad itself is not good. The song is still haunting though.
