*Important Note:* Since not all the instrument samples in this track have been found yet, I've had to replace the missing samples with ones that I feel are similar enough - meaning this restoration is not 100% accurate. It shouldn't be _too_ noticable (hopefully), however when all the instruments are found, I'll be sure to re-do this restoration with the correct ones.
@@KingYoshi93 I thought that too for the longest time, but while working on these restorations I discovered that like...90% of the samples in the MKDS Beta are exactly the same as the final. Of the sample that aren't the same, some are completely different (not terribly useful for restoring the final game's soundtrack), and others are just slightly longer versions of the samples (which would be useful, except most of those samples have already been found). But they're all still just as compressed as the final game's samples. Honestly, the only sample I can think of that's "less compressed" in the MKDS Beta is the accoustic bass - and even then, it's not _actually_ less compressed. The final game's sample is just smothered with a high-pass filter, presumably to make it more audible on the DS's tinny speakers, which is what makes it sound worse. So yeah, it doesn't really help I'm afraid.
This sounds incredibly close! I always felt the horn sections were in the forefront during the entire piece and not just for the melody, but regardless thank you for the clean hits!
@@otherrad1240 actually they have remastered it. Not as much as the GBA tracks but more than other GBA tracks. And also fyi I own every other MK game so I can tell if they’ve changed anything

You can always take some of the missing samples from the MKDS Beta. They're not "lossless" but at least less compressed than in the final game. :)

Oh god, that explains why I felt real conecction with this one.
DS Mario Circuit confirmed for the Booster Course Pass!!!
This sounds exactly like the Tour version.
Hey it's you
This almost makes me want Figure-8 Circuit in the Booster Course Pass to see how the orchestra will handle remastering this song. Almost.
Or Mario Circuit.
L
nah, you should hope for DS mario circuit instead. it's the same song, but on an actually good track.
@@jclkaytwo Exactly.
@Loofah What?
👀 oh crap I thought this was the brickster...
Great Job! This sounds like childhood!
MKDS now? Interesting
I'm praying for this track to return in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe booster waves because it's one of my favorites in Mario Kart DS.
Same budd, in my top 5 easily
We did it everyone 😄
You got your wish and the remix is amazing!
*snaking*
Going left and right when hit by a blooper
@@Supernir more like make everyone rage quit online. LOL, that game was so broken.
@@nathanlamont9920 I never got to play online sadly, only local play on a school bus after-school 😭
The fact that I can now hear these instruments clearly makes this track less groovy (at least for me)
We need this track for the booster course pass because it has 8 in Mario kart 8 deluxe
I agree but that was also cringe never say that again
@@Yorisona_YT why not
@@Noahmediacorner Your wish has been granted
This, i'm all for. Excited for more to come!
If any music in Mario Kart DS is restored, it may sound more like the Kiosk Demo version of the music.
This is some really nice stuff, thank you for what you're doing!
Why does this give me alot of nostalgia?
Dang, BCP did you dirty & now so did Schaf, so sorry my goat 😔
AMAZING!
Childhood right here..
Sounds amazing
Ah yes sweet nostalgia I still have this game for my old DSi
Sounds like the new Tour version
Tour version isn’t new bruh. Tour just reuses the original music. Tour fans finding out other Mario kart games exist 😭
