    Amazing! Still so many surprising features in Maya :)
    Is there a way to unwrap and texture the models before painting them in?
    How would you go about generating your own CityMesh paintstrokes like this?

      Hey Matthias, sure they are now individual quad models so you can treat them like any other model.

    Found out about PaintFX through your tutorials and it made my projects so much easier! Do you perhaps have any tutorial on creating a sprite and then having multiple instances of it (for eg a tree sprite and then populating it on a hill)? Many thanks, Mike~!

    Hi Mike! What a useful tutorial! I was wondering if it's possible to add in your own models to use with Citymesh? The ones that citymesh provides as standard aren't exactly what I'm going for :p

      A city like this is very low poly and suitable for a backdrop. So I would use very generic, low poly textures

    Thank you so much for the tutorial, Mike! Question: Is there a best practice for cities on an uneven surface (hills and mountains)? Unfortunately I don't get the houses to be upright and straight... (new to this) Thanks again! :)

    • @MHTutorials3D
      @MHTutorials3D  4 года назад +1

      Yes, you can create them upright but with a very different technique. You would use XGEN with instancing to populate the hills based on a building archive :-)
