Wow! I saw the thumbnail and was like maybe I'll try to tackle this project, but then I read you are giving one away! 😲 It's gorgeous. I can't imagine the amount of work and sanding. 😆 I'll try to enter!

Grant, awesome video man. Great result in the end. I love the humor along the way. I am also terrified of the lathe.

Thanks man! The lathe is a bit scary, but I'm definitely falling in love with it. I'd love to have a bigger one someday.

Looks pretty great. I was hoping the video was coming after seeing you working on a few for a while.

Thanks Wayne! Took a while but finally got there. And working on finishing up a set of six of these. Not sure how many I'll give away yet.

Whoa! We loved this! Where can we find ideas on how a 13 yr. old can get started on stuff like this?

Well, my channel and my website 😂. But I'd say get a bandsaw. They're a heck of a lot safer than a table saw and you can do all kinds of small cuts to make things like this or different artwork or signs.

In before someone makes a comment about wearing gloves while working with spinning tools. Looks good Grant! Don't listen to the haters. I thought I was following you already (Us Grant's need to stick together) but apparently I was not. So that has been rectified. P.s. for some reason the link above didn't work for me, but I am an industrious person and was able to type dad_crafted into the search and find you :)

Pretty sure I demoed in the video how weak my lathe is. Pretty sure I could just grab the blank and stop it 🤣 And I'll double check the link. Thanks!

@@dadcrafted You did show that, but other tools spin too, lol
