- This is the studio version of Teething recorded at Bad Animals Studio in Seattle and produced by Terry Date. It never ended up being on the album and was left as an outtake. Enjoy!

Before today I had never heard this version before. I never understood why this song was so maligned … I actually like it above some tracks that were actually on Adrenaline…

I think they took it off because the verse sounds too much like nosebleed.
The reason is because my version remix with the vocals from the CROW weren't on the adrenaline version which they are now. Going to upload later.

Btw, Teething was never planned for release on Adrenaline. It made it's first appearance on the very first EP "Like Linus" as a rough recorded song. Got re-record for the Crow 2 Soundtrack. It's my favorite song from Deftones.
It clearly was, since this is a finalized studio version of it from the same sessions. It just ended up getting cut from the final release.

it was, you're right. And it was also recorded as a demo with Terry Date prior to the Adrenaline recording, as you can hear by the microphone and sound placements as proof. but it never made it onto the album. As it was a demo for MAVERICK records. I only know that because they are a subsidiary of Warner Music Group, which I worked for many years as in-house producer guy

Has ANYONE besides me and 2 others after, noticed that the middle where it sounds like Chino spitting TEETH , is actually just a few samples of a POOL BALL RACK being broken over each other? Trust me, it actually is!! And they NEVER record without a pool table at the studio

Do you have the 7-inch? I've been DYING for a FLAC of this. Since finding out about this track every time I listen to Adrenaline it just feels incomplete.

It should have been on the album; why it was a b-side is anyone's guess. This was from Adrenaline's recording sessions though as you can tell by the production.
