A Tom T. Hall classic for sure. His wife Dixie passed away. Same as my wife Shannon Burns pictured here on the left. I cry, I visit her grave everyday. Have for two years now. I set upon the prayer bench there at her gravesite. I tell her I miss the U in Us. If you love somebody enough, your heart breaks each day when they are gone, you know. That is why where my heart was there is now just a hole. And you do not know what lonely is, until their name is chisled in stone.
This is one series that is always worth revisiting and it doesn’t age. It’s always relevant. This was such a fitting end. Through all of the struggles and angst, it showed us in the end exactly the way the show began… that if we come together we can be the best again. As we should.
He's a great actor. He needs to make more movies where he plays in a dramatic role. This was the first series I binged from beginning to end in over 2 years.

Just discovered the show this weekend on my kindle. Have watched all 3 seasons 3 or 4 times now. Absolutely love it. So sad it wasn't longer. Love Season 1 and 3 didn't care that much for 2 except the last episode.

I believe they weren't sure of this before Season 2 ended and that's why they ended it way they did. That part is my opinion. I wish wish wish t could have gone on many years. I'll say this, Daniels has a pretty decent voice, but this scene is a great example of why I hated this series. So... we just gonna believe that this news guy and the rest of the team are also expert musicians? I usually expect crap like this in high fantasy epics; where my imagination is stretched to the point where it almost breaks. I once heard someone describe Sorkin's stuff as liberal masturbatory fantasy, where the characters are pretty much perfect human beings that seem to be genius experts in everything. LMAO At any rate Tom T Hall died today and I was searching for some Hall videos for this song and this popped up. I'd forgotten this scene and like I mentioned above, Daniels actually seems to have a pretty decent voice. I wonder if or how much he's into music but I find it a little ironic that these left-wing characters end the show on one of Tom's iconic tunes. I'd say it's a testament to his writing ability. Ah anyway, rest in peace Tom.

Hot take: a decent amount of middle age men know a bit of guitar. I’m not surprised that Will does, as it’s covered in plot but also because we know that he’s been going through an identity crisis. The percussion in this scene wouldn’t be hard to anyone who had done band as a kid (even if they were a woodwind or something) The grandson is literally described as a savant so we don’t need to worry about him The only other character doing anything impressive musically speaking here is Jim, who fits the adult man knowing basic guitar thing from earlier. He is also playing backup from a well known song, so it’s not too much of a reach to assume he picked it up on the road Sorkin’s work is definitely liberal masturbation, but not because the liberals don’t have flaws. It’s because the republicans are typically shown as sane
