i aint gonna lie, i used one chord progression you did in one of your vids, but not to steal it, to learn from it lmao I switched it up to of course to try to create something totally diff, but sometimes I do go hands on with these tutorials to hopefully learn and have things branded into my brain...Cause i swear, you make it look so easy lmao Im at a point where i can make a chord progression and main melody fairly easily, ill halft time and reverse that shit often and it sounds fire...Im like oh shit once i get my top melodies and drums in place this gon be the best beat ive made! And then...i struggle like crazy getting top melodies in, and then struggle more making drums sound good enough lmao And i feel like i totally ruin the main melody with these other two things....I need to dl all your knowledge into my head, why hasnt tech gotten to the point where we can simply dl info into our heads yet so i can hop on everytime and make fire beats like you and nick mira and other godly producers lmao

That's why I stopped collabing and went from a sampling BoomBap producer of 20 years to messing with vsts and bangin out my own melodies by ear with my little midi keyboard. I mean I respect all the legitimate loopmakers like yourself and others but it's a risky situation just dealing with anyone without doing some research on them. You never know what you're getting. Salute to you for a dope azz channel dropping knowledge for us composing novices. You can't teach an old dog new tricks is Cap! 😂

Honestly these are all good but I would say listening to music is one that people sleep on!! I was just mentioning this today, if you want to become a better music producer then listen to more music, just like if a chef wants to become a better chef they should always be in the kitchen or surrounding themselves with some type of inspiration
I do have a question to hopefully gain some advice from the answer: Did you get super frustrated when you didnt feel like you were seeing as much progress as you wanted at times? I see progress, i couldnt make chords or a chord progression 3 weeks ago, now i can easily do that, but it takes so long to come up with simple top melodies, and i feel like i go from having a good base to ruining the beat im working on...Makes me wanna throw fl out the window LMFAO Did you get really frustrated in the beginning?
