- Belgrade is situated in South-Eastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula. City lies 116.75 metres (383.0 ft) above sea level and is located at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. The river waters surround it from three sides, and that is why since ancient times it has been the guardian of river passages. Because of its position it was properly called "the gate" of the Balkans, and "the door" to Central Europe.

I visited Belgrade.I am a Turkish and i can say Serbians are very friendly and helpful.Thank you again.I am making plan for second destination on Serbia.Probably Novi Sad.

It has changed a lot since I was last there in the late 1970's. Amazing how cosmopolitan it has become. This video is extremely well done highlighting a modern city that has been merged with the old in a very effective way while retaining it's integrity.

I am Egyptian and I want to visit serbia one day
My brother had been there for some days because of his work. He tells me that Serbs generally seem to be far more polite and educated than us here in Greece and that Belgrade is a very clean city looking like places of Central Europe and not like Balkans

Hi...I'm from Mexico and some friends and I orginally would be traveling to Turkey, Greece ad ISRAEL. Due to the current situation in Israel, we decided to spend those days in other country in the same área. We have not decided if Serbia or Romania... what are your recommendations?? :)
Hi friends !The both of countries are fine,but if you come to Serbia,Belgrade you should know that people are very friendly,they like tourists and want to help,just find someone who knows english and wont have any problems.You can find here cheaper hostels to stay,they look nice and food is great.Safety is on high level and there is much of stuff to do and see here.Contact me if you want,I would be glad to show you everything ( for free,offcourse :) )

Where is the narration? Music attached to a video with no words is really ineffective.
There's no words for describe Serbian culture. So watch carefuly if you want to see. There is fun, sports, art, science, proud history, food, religion and sports.

don't shout on every corner about it, and be friendly, i think all will be great. Only one problem i see, that most of serbians got a poor knowledge of english, that's sometimes make difficulties in simple thihgs, meanwhile Belgrade is a great city, really worth to visit.

Sorry to say that but personally I think Belgrade is the ugliest big city I have ever seen. Everything there is so grey, dirty and depressing. I hope it will improve in the future but, for now, I guess there are better places to see in Serbia. Belgrade is not Serbia's best advertisement.

You don't have to agree with me but it will not change my point of view, even if it's offensive for some of you.
Well, actually I was there in summer and it did not chanche anything. All Balcan capitols are more or less like that. Very average, good for a weekend party because it's cheap for many other Europeans but what else do they rememer besides that? Grey here, grey there, good food, grey here, grey there, cheap beer, oh Kalemegdan, another cheap restaurant, Sava Church, grey here, grey there and so on. Good to see it once but not willing to come back. No offence, like I said before you are friendy, food is great but you have long way to go ahead of you. I am talking about capitol and not Serbia itself.
