Ikr!
Can you tell me where is it thx
My favorite part was Missy bringing you an oyster she foraged!! So glad your still taking her on your adventures!!
Haha she also found the crab right at the beginning! She always makes a few great discoveries 👌
Joe Pk you couldn’t have a better foraging companion!! 🥰🥰
@@JoePkSpearfishing hey Joe, what race/breed is Missy?
Plot twist... That eel was hoping you'd throw h back in the water so he could breathe again 😳😂
when
there’s no way! mr garlick!! my old secondary school science teacher, wasn’t expecting to come across him on a youtube video
- Nicely done Joe. It was a little conger - but you were right about the common eels being protected. We have a net almost identical to the one you use for the prawns. Delicious and great for bass baits. 😉🦐🐟
Thank you Fish Locker 😊Can't wait to get out again for more prawns but I won't be catching any bass with them any time soon. Mackerel is about my limit 😂
When Missy bring him Oyster and he just throw it
Missy be like:👁️👄👁️
In her head: that bi...
😂
I could watch Missy all day, she's the double of my springer Bramble who is no longer with us 😢 there energy and enthusiasm and wanting to please 💕love you Missy xx
Those shore prawns, as we call them here in Portugal, are my favourite sea food and believe me, when it comes to that subject I know what I’m talking about. The best tip I could give you, concerning cooking the prawns, is for you to boil them in sea water, and imediatelly after taking them out of the boiling water dive the prawns in sea water filled with ice cubes for no more thatn a few seconds, in order to stop the boiling process very suddenly. The prawns meat will end up having a kind of an almost crispy texture that I’m sure will amaze you.
Great video dudes, I've seen it all now, a dog that actually chews his food. Most dogs would of inhaled that and not even of tasted it, but your Lovely Spaniel savoured it.
Very useful video! I went shrimping after watching this. Started on the sand but got nothing - but then went along the edges and underhangs amongst the weed and found some good prawns. The weedy places were definitely the best but my net kept bending with the weight. (of the weed) Thanks for the great information. Can't wait to go again......
Good to see you rocking the ‘barefoot bushman’ style - a closet Aussie for sure. Down on the farm with Joe and chickens...is there no end to this channel’s diversity 🧜🏼♂️🐟🦞 🦪 🍤 🥚 👍🏻
Haha I'm pleased the white chicken was happy to make a quick cameo! Thanks as always G 😊
Joe Pk isn’t it bad to give dogs seafood?
I’ve enjoyed watching all your episodes so far joe so please keep em coming.
What a Great day, thanks Joe👌👍
after cooking prawns put strait in ice cold water with ice for a few minutes to firm them up.its like in the shop when you buy them.that way they wont be like mushy when you eat them.
Hey Joe Pk! Pkjoe from San Diego. Great stuff man. Enjoy seeing what you forage in coastal areas. Especially loved your kids reaction ti the prawn!
Awesome! Thank you PK Joe !!
Mate a lovely video, I truly enjoy your catch and cook videos. A three course meal caught that day on a beach is a must. Hope the ears doing better
Thanks Adam! Might have to try and make the 3 course idea a reality soon 👌
5:40 she is soo cute for helping.
Great work Joe, Keep it up!
I wish I lived there, that’s like food paradise
Hello I love your RUclips content. Keep doing it. Love lots from🇵🇭 Philippines 😘🥰
At Karumba in North Queensland on the Gulf of Carpentaria during the winter we would cast a net on the other side of the fence and pull in a load of prawns for breakfast every day This is back ib 2003 and hopefully is still tje same today .
I love fishing here in the philippines very sweet and tasty the fresh shrimps thanks for sharing
So relaxing! Good girl Missy! She found an oyster and gave it to you
You cannot beat fresh sea food Joe.
Loved how missy did her own foraging too.
My dog loves to munch on fresh kelps fronds.
It good for them too,apparently
Thanks for sharing mate
Missy loves these trips! I will see how she gets on with the fresh kelp soon 🤣
@@JoePkSpearfishing I always take my four- legged forager with me.
" Moo" is very good at sniffing out shore crabs for me; I use them as bait to catch wrasse with.
I hope your ear- drum is on the mend chap
Take care
Another brilliant video Joe, many thanks as always! Dying to get down to Cornwall to do some of this stuff next summer already!

WHAT A GOOD GIRL MISSY IS!!😭💙💙💙
You can do buttered prawns! Garlic and butter, then put the prawns/shrimp in!
Another good upload thanks Joe! I had chance to do a couple of runs down to southern Spain with a truck collecting Xmas citrus fruit some years ago. I alone opted for a Prawn cocktail on the ferry leaving the UK, and went down with serious food poisoning for 2 weeks. Never touched them since! Stay safe & well!
Ohh no that sounds like some expensive food poisoning! No troubles with our fresh prawns eating them shell and all 👌thanks matey take it eAsy 👌
Your videos are somewhat satisfying ❤️
Pleased they are Goatdog 👌
Great video as always Joe i have a net and tides are right next week thanks to you i am going to give it a go. They look yummy 😋.Thanks again Joe for sharing your adventures with us.👍
Thanks as always Nigel, good luck with the prawning they are so tasty let me know how you get on!
Nice video, nxt time try to boil the prawns with 7up or sprite. I used to cook it here in manila. Dip it in vinegar with garlic and chili.

That looks like a lot of fun! I know I said this in an older video but you really are blessed in that area to have that canal with good water and a large variety of forageable wildlife.

Brought back happy memories fishing around Snapes Point and other marks around Salcombe. I lived there for 7 years
I've never thought about eating the prawns i catch but i think i will give it a go next time I'm by the sea.
Prawns look soo good to eat, salivating right now
they sure are!!
Nice video Joe, followed you down into batson Wednesday, recognised the rib and landy. Hopefully see you on the water some time this summer 👍
Yes hopefully see you on the water give me a shout! 👍
Nice vid joe 👌
Ive always wondered if it would be worth the effort with them little prawns but the little ones face said it all 😁
I will give it a go with the kids next time we are at the coast
Cheers guys
Take care 👍
P.s did you manage to find out where missy came from joe
So worth it! Thanks Mick. Yes I found out shes from Holsworthy. Missy will have pups at some point if you fancy one of her sons or daughters I can reserve one for you if she has a good size litter 👌
@@JoePkSpearfishing thanks joe apreciate that let me know nearer the time as i will be lookin for a dog in the near future i was hoping to get one last year but had a back injury and had to put it on hold as i do alot of shooting/fishing etc and am just getting back into wild camping so defo need a buddy i can rely on 😂

Great Video as always. Thanks Joe!!!
Thank you!
Great video loved the Prawns!! 100% Natural not raised on Antibiotics and growth hormones like most we buy here 🇫🇷
my gosh they're small, you'd be amazed if you went prawning where I live.
Great vid
Missy is so loyal💓
At 8:23 the guy looks like Adam Levine 😂😂😁
Love it Joe! Missing the tastes of Devon!
Not for long
that place is wonderful !!!
The kid's reaction at the end hahaha
Andy's fishing does a different way of cooking for the little shrimp, deep fried and it ends up more like popcorn shrimp haha
That sounds tasty 😋
If you get a prawn trap the best bait is harbour crabs, just cut them in half and toss them in, I have 3, you are best to leave them out overnight (prawns feed at night)
Thank you for the tip David. I will definitely try this soon 👍
AweSome adventure
Very enjoyable!
Nice voice wearing blue jacket I hope you are a good and humble person 😊 nice video cute baby love from Northeast Manipur India
Wow this made my day :D
I feel hungry watching the video. Nice place.
Do you think sauteeing in clarified butter at a high heat would make for a nice creamy but crispier treat?
They are fantastic taste, used to get them on the crab pots off the back of Berry Head after a gale of SW wind in the fall of the year, similar taste to Dublin Bay Prawns which are also fantastic, must go back to Skye soon and buy some more :-)
That's interesting! Would love to try the Dublin Bay one day 👌😋
@@JoePkSpearfishing Got to get them fresh off the boats up north
Nice chickens you got there.
Feathered friends.
So impressed. All your catch are so small you must be a starving bunch.
Thank you for watching and commenting 😁
Fun, really fun
It will more delicious if you cook it by frying in butter, just add a little bit of salt at minced garlic then toast it... You can eat also the skin, and deep it with vinegar with garlic plus chilli😂😂😂
Now im craving😐😐😐
Joe - love this video! How many chickens do you have and how many eggs you get per day?
Nice catch 👍👌👌
Thanks a lot 😊
I remember the days back in Florida collecting clams with a clam fork .... similar process ...... the bad part was that even though the fork was a very good and efficient way to get at the clams, they destroyed the environment that supported those clams ... it seems that your push nets are doing that same thing
Fry them in a bit of olive oil and gurlic with a bit of butter in the end and eat them at all, with head and everything
Nice video
VERY SICK LOOKING TIDEPOOLS THIS POOL IN 2010 HAD HUNDREDS OF STARFISH,,,
Each of them, multiple times throughout this video: Man, lookit that one! That's a big one!
Me: ....the various species of prawn you guys have in your corner of the world, must be absolutely *minuscule* for those tiny little small fries to be considered "big ones."
You really gonna cook them tiny prawns
You know what they say "give a man a fish, teach a man to fish" ... the next level of it is to "teach a spaniel to fish"
I can confirm they are bloody stubborn learners though.
Haha!
I wish I live near the sea and could spend probably a lot of time doing just that. How therapeutic would that be. Plus I get to fry that in batter whiskers shells and all intact dipped in soy sauce 💜💜💜
I'm a fisherman from Eyemouth Scotland. At the start I would call these Shrimps . Prawns are much bigger.
Shrimp - prawn - lobster .
Great video
Thanks Thomas 👌
I remember seeing 3 HUGE black prawns in Wales when I was younger. Easily 4-6 times the size of those and fat too. I wonder what species they were. It was low tide and they were stuck in an indent in the rock pool.
Interesting! I realise now it's a bit early in the season for prawning...
Wow would be awesome to keep some in a tank
I like it 😊😁😁 yummy
Was that natural that stone pool? Or did someone build them years back for the purpose of fishing? Nice video I hope your channel grows.
No its a concrete wall that reinforces the channel in the creek that boats pass through. Thank you 😊
Are the oysters not edible or do you prefer not to eat them? I don’t care for oysters but my husband loves them.
Wow amazing
nice! where is this located??
Nice catching in low tide pool Joe, but i want you to know that's not a prawns it is just an ordinary regular shrimps that can be found in any low tide pool area, there are a lots of shrimps variety... please try to reseach about prawns and ordinary shrimps, try to come in asia to let you know the variety of shrimps!!!
You try to fry the small shrimp after that sprinkle iodized salt and enjoy eating
