They never miss. I've never come across a band that has such an incredible catalog.
It’s a spotless catalog no doubt!!
One of my most favorite pieces of music, across all genres (and my taste of music is very diverse and eclectic). Asami's voice, Haruna's drums, Miho's bass line, the two contrasting guitar solos, the breakdown, the change from thrash to lyric and back, epic! I come back to this one so often.

4 years after discovering them, and seeing them live twice, I am still blown away by just how good these Ladies are. If 5 years ago someone had said to me that I would come to regard 5 petite young women from Japan as possibly the best Metal band in the world, I would not have believed them, and yet, here we are ! 🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁 🤘🐺

This is me. I go around saying "best band of all time" (mostly to myself - I try not to say that in comments lol) because they literally are my favorite band of all time, and sometimes it is hard to believe that they even exist, even after standing right in front of them for live shows. Unreal!

@@alekhidell Congrats! Have fun! Won't say I'm not envious. I'd have done it if I had the money, but I can't even put together what I need to get a flight over there. I will say though, having talked to all of them three times, and once in a really casual setting just me and them, Miyako is not so intimidating at all. She maybe only seems so in a video, but not in person. She was so curious, so attentive, hung on every word. She wanted to know I think what a fan would say, especially a foreign fan. She's just so completely into music that she's just that intensely focused on stage and a total nerd offstage. Wish I could have talked to them all more. Also, if you are close enough to the stage, she has laser tracking with her pick throws. If you raise your hand at the end of the show and she sees it, she will hit it with a pick from range. You just have to close your hand at the right time! Have fun!

You're right, Rynno. That is top notch Midori solo and Miyako channelling the late Gary Moore. Alwas loved this song and Asami's final exclamation at the end.

I'm a thrash head. Exodus is my favorite thrash band, but of course there's Slayer (this song reminds me of their early days), Metallica, Pantera, NOT Anthrax 😂, Testament, etc. This performance right here is my all-time favorite live recorded thrash song. Midori is just so metal when she solos, but Miyako is absolutely the most intimidating with her calmness.

I very much agree with "NOT Anthrax." All their best songs were covers or novelty songs.
Lovebites time, Friday confirmed! 😊That's such an epic performance from them, between the tempo, the energy, the transition to slow and quiet and back to fast and loud is so well executed. I'd definitely love being in the middle of that crowd even if I too am probably doomed, if anything from being short 😅What a way to start the day!

Lovebites is one if my favorite bands. I'm an old school metalhead. Slayer, Exodus, Megadeth, early Metallica, and of course the classic metal from the seventies & eighties, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath. Another band I'm into that's also from Japan and also all female is Band-Maid. Check out the song Real Existence the official music video. I actually prefer this to the live version.

Much as I feel Fami is a perfect, perfect fit for Lovebites, and amazing in her own right, I miss Miho. The songs she wrote and her enthusiastic headbanging. She brought a certain kind of energy they don't have in the new lineup. Not that I'd want to replace Fami. A band can have two bass players, right? Lol.

How is it that every time (of countless times) I listen to this beast of a song, I get the biggest waves of chills precisely when everything is brought to a halt and, over the tasty bass, Miyako comes on with a thing of beauty shat should be "out of place" in a piece like this - what magic?.. Is it the specter of early METALLICA a la "Orion", is it the sheer cognitive dissonance of having a flower bloom among destruction? Or am I just getting sentimental early? 😢😜 LOVEBITES possess an enthralling power, and their songwriting prowess is a big part of that.

You have to always be at the ready with the Metal Queens when hitting play. From Midori doing a crazy shred to Miyako doing a Gary Moore inspired guitar solo. A thrash masterpiece.

OK, it is after Midori's solo and before Miyako's solo, so there are distractions. And, you do not see Miho playing. But anyhow. Just an observation.
