Could hardly have been two LOVEBITES songs more different than these you have reacted to back-to-back! United, of course, by one factor - the genius touch in the composition.
Yes, so now they sing ensemble too! And Miyako, sitting firmly in your right ear, does sing an octave apart from the lead vocals for added emphasis. And when they go up an octave for the final chorus, Miyako just climbs another, like that was all she was doing daily, one-upping the main vocals! 🤩 Btw, I believe the piano intro she was playing was from the pen of Rachmaninoff, her favorite composer. Love seeing how Miyako lets the note ring out in true Classical pianist way before getting into the song proper.
7:35 Haruna seems to really love this part! 😈 (I do too.🤘) That is one mean breakdown, followed by a nasty solo of guitars having a "family quarrel" before making nice again... fits like a glove into a song about a toxic relationship! This part spices it up for any purists for whom the song might otherwise be too "poppy" (I'm not making it up, it has been said, and written; that was the time when people were not aware yet that LOVEBITES are "in all styles" and will cover any walk of Rock or Metal at will 😄🐺).
All that leaves us with another unique song in their catalogue. Many more surprises remain, waiting to be discovered!

I like this live recording with the beautiful background voices so much more than the original studio version where Asami sings the second voice herself. Lovebites should use this kind of chorus vocals more often, but then they often play such fast and complicated patterns that I guess it would be too difficult to concentrate on singing at the same time.

When a reactor at times has the "deer in headlights" look during a reaction, you know they are enthralled. Never have I seen a band that all of the members are this high of caliber musicians. No, I can't name a song I don't like, but I certainly have favorites.

Lucky day! Most days you ask me, this is my favorite Lovebites song behind Thunder Vengeance (which I adore), but how is it possible to really say? They're all my favorites. They became my favorite band of all time. They're just that good. I don't think anyone will be able to suggest a bad Lovebites song either. Doesn't exist.
I was stunned the first time I heard this. Miyako's piano, Asami's voice (such emotion! She has an R&B background), but then Miho starts signing backup vocals and she has a strong and beautiful voice. Then you hear Miyako singing the higher parts and you're left wondering is there anything she can't do? This is the only song they harmonize the background vocals quite like that. The solos are great. My favorite part is right at the end. Those runs in unison. Miho and Haruna amazing as always. Miyako is a fan of the composer that wrote Beat It's riff, and this riff is an homage to that, so I am to understand. They are students of metal and music and it shows! Thanks for the reaction!

Yes, Miyako is all those adjectives...and more. It's always OK (required maybe?) to rewind to listen to any portion of their songs again and again. These ladies are astonishingly talented.

I think the reason why you won't hear anything bad by lovebites is because they don't know how to make a bad song. They understand what makes music sound good, if they don't like it, or have any doubts about it, they just don't do it. That's just another one of those things that makes them special. 🤘🎤🥁🎸🎹🐺

This is absolutely one of my favorite tunes! Lovebites delivery the goods all the time! When I saw them back to back the two that impressed me the most was Haruna and Asami! Dude she can sing and make that eye contact, she loves to give you that second and pose for you to snap a picture! Lovebites rules!! Furthermore, former Bassist Miho can sing!! Her backup voice is beautiful! Oh yeah I forgot! Miyako, I swear has the smallest hands! I was thinking how can those very small hands do so much damage!!

Double dose of Lovebites, not going to complain about this! The intro was incredible, I too had shivers from it, and I wouldn't have been mad if all the song had just been piano and vocals, it was beautiful. But when you think you've already been stunned by the talent they take it to another level.

LOL! I was really happy when you said you were repeating the solo section, because I was already thinking of going back to listen to it again. Even though I've listened to this song dozens of times before, it still blows me away. But then I had to go back to listen to it a 3rd time after your observation about Miho's bass so I could focus listening to that. And then I went back a 4th time because of your observation about Haruna's off-beat cymbal! All this to say, I enjoy your reactions & observations! 😛

There is one song that you won't like. And that's 'Journey To The Other Side'. (live). The song itself is brilliant, but the reason you won't like it, is because it will make you cry in front of all of us. If it doesn't, you have no Soul.
It was written by Miho and Miyako, about the death of Miho's father at the young age of only 49. There is a section in the performance that just hurts. You'll see.
