these giant clan raids feel like that one battlefield 1 story mission where you're fully intended to die a bunch and respawn as a different dude running back to the front to hammer home how much of a constant, horrifying meatgrinder war is the complete lack of the usual chatter with his friends, or even any commentary at all, def adds to it

All we really did was beef with each other. There's still plenty of challenge in 15v15 fights or 40vs12 online merge raids.
I was part of the team that you raided at 45:00. Some annoying ass kid was calling us out to smiley crack while simultaneously shooting a silenced l9 at us from an iceberg. Knowing you guys would come raid (most likely at night), I posted up at dome silenced sar and called out all of you guys running towards our base. I killed a couple from behind a sulfur node but eventually I got spotted and became base locked. We just weren't able to push out and win because of how deep yall were. Maybe if the attack heli didn't pull up we could have done better. Yall were smart to back up at first tho. GGs GA + spoonkid!
You were one of the biggest reasons i have quit playing this kind of clan gameplay and started solo playing but this video hit some nice memories, i can tell that most of the good clans are just like this.
This group was pretty chill. I get why people play in them, it's just a different type of experience. I prefer a duo/trio wipe where everything is a challenge though. A group this size pretty much means you're going to win every fight and raid, eventually.
Not if you fight with groups the same size as yours. Idk what the top servers are like now, but when I used to play with our group, there were like 4 groups of 18-22ish. Heaps of online merge raids, massive oil rig fights, raid counters, etc. Some of the most hectic gaming experiences I've ever had. There's a lot of challenge to be had in big groups still.
@@DolphinsAreWeird Yeah it's awesome to have those wipes for moments like that. Having L9s in minis circling rig so that you can clear space for the scrappy, then taking the 8v8. Or seeing multiple scrappys heading towards your base and having 40 people pile out to raid you. Zerg v zerg is so good tbh.

The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players, and kill them for meat. Create alliances with other players and form a town. Do whatever it takes to survive.
