Firsts are always better than the second. If they do a 3rd, which I'm not betting on... that one will be the best though. That's just how video games work.
I have a question that I haven't been able to find the answer to. Ever since this game's release I've been reading review sites that have claimed that Override 2 has local 4 player Co-Op. I bought the game, and I haven't been able to set up 4 players on my single switch at all. This seemed a bit strange to me since this was a feature that was in the first game. I did all this research, with several websites telling me the same thing over and over, until I re-read Override 2's official eshop page, which states that 4 player Couch Co-Op *isnt* a feature at all. How come there are so many reviewers saying otherwise? Is the Eshop page mistaken? A crying shame, considering I bought this game based on the reviews I read.
@Hamzah the fighting system in the first game is like piloting a real mech. Each trigger controls a part of the robots limb. It’s awesome making your own combos and have different fighting inputs. The second game removes that and puts different moves strong attack and weak attack. The moves in that game are system based and not willingly creative. It’s nice to have friends over to play each leg and arm to fight monsters or other people….basically the first game had better fighting mechanics
I hate how much they changed on the second one the arenas just feel fabricated to fight unlike the first one where there were cities and helicopters watching you I also hate how they removed the whole 1 person 1 body part thing and that now only 2 people can play on the same console as well as removing the damn customization of mechs like why man you destroyed your game for no reason
I tried to find Override Mech City Brawl Nintendo Switch only I could find is the Japanese Version A) If I buy the Japanese Version can it be translated to English? B) If I didn't play Override Mech City is Override 2 worth buying?
A) I don't know about all versions, but this seems to support English: www.play-asia.com/override-mech-city-brawl-super-charged-mega-edition-multi-langua/13/70d4k7 B) They are both very different games you can play either, based on what sounds more fun for you.
Sadly I don't think either game will be getting updates, I don't think they sold very well, and online is dead, So there's no funds to pay for an update. I've bought and played the full version of the game+all DLC, and my opinions have not changed, I think this is the end of the series.
It's a shame there isn't much of a player base I really loved the first one
The game is on sale now and I wanted to see how it compares to the first one. Your review was excellent and answered all my questions. Thanks.

Thank you for the information on the game's demo! I might be able to convince my friends to give it a go because of this.
They had a super unique combat system in the first one and the second one is just boring
why is override so unknown? we should honestly push this game on youtube, reddit, social media.....

One single complaint I have for the second game is Myas design. Mya looked so much cooler in the first game in my opinion.
Which one is worth buying for the Nintendo Switch?
"Override: Mech City Brawl" or "Override 2: Super Mech League"?
Gameplay wise, you can watch the video to see a comparison.
however I believe "Override 2: Super Mech League" will not run as well on switch.

Personally as someone who really loved the first one, the sequel felt disappointing. It just feels cheap, which is the best way to describe it.
The new override is an online base game. They need more of an offline option
Damn.....

The AI sucks and there is no difficulty option
