A 2d tutorial is needed for those that want to make 2d products sent to routers or a laser cutter, not every one wants to use this software for only 3D, we should have 2d tutorials for drawing from scratch or to import images like taking photos of your draft and tracing it accurately. I have been asking for this for a long time.
You can do it just sketch, you import your drawing and draw over it, that’s what I did.
As a woodworker to send my designs to the cnc do I need the standard or business subscription ???
My colleagues were very impressed with this app when I showed them the 2d drawing mode. After using it I have found a few things that I can’t seem to do: architectural dimensions style, running dimensions, no hatch or maybe a way to allow you to let part of the model show material, no way to zoom in on part of a plan, no way to align or snap to things , only one size and font. But Shapr3D seems to be improving every month which is great to know there are bright minds that are hopefully looking into these things.
Finally, I now no longer need Autodesk Inventor! Now include a 3D printing Slicer, and you have the most complete CAD system ever!
Awesome tool. The next thing you need to do is to bring the price down. You’ll make more money and good for creators.

Why don’t you guys also include it on the standard version as well? I have the standard view because I can’t afford the business, I’m not a business just an individual interested in 3D design. Keep the DWG format for pro but allow technical drawings please🥺🥺🥺
I, too, am a hobbiest woodworker and 3D printing fan. I would be very happy as a Standard user if I could make the type of drawings shown and simply save/print them as PDF files. I can understand the reservation of manufacturing formats for the Business level license; the inability of standard users to print their designs is, I believe, a bit too restrictive. I just bought an iPad Pro 12.9 (2021) specifically to use your program and other than not being able to make drawings for my records, I am incredibly impressed. I have tried and used TinkerCad, Fusion 360, and a couple of other programs and find Shapr3D to be hands-down the best for me. Thank you all for the incredible job you have done, and for what I feel sure you will continue to do.

This is a great app. Thank you for the instructions. What I would love to see during the instructions is which button you click. It is not possible to see under which button that specific button can be found etc. Transitions are very important to follow and reproduce.
@Seb Cachia I think I am looking for something like in the videos of ''How to Shapr3D'' channel. Otherwise transitions are very fast which I can not catch as a beginner. Everything else is perfect.

I absolutely love this. It has made it so easy to populate my drawings with the info needed to give to the client. I managed to come up with a design, model it, get plans made and all finished within an hour and sent to my client.
One thing I couldn’t figure out was the section view through the design, is there any update videos to show the features that aren’t in this video?
Excellent addition! I have the pro version, so excited to try it out. Aligning views to allow dimension extension lines to carry through would be great, and of course referencing between views. Don’t know if multiple sheets are supported yet, but being able to reference between sheets in a set would make this fully functional in my eyes. Exploded views also seems like a worthwhile feature. Ability to import reference images or other 2D CAD data would be helpful but not a top tier request. Thanks for the amazing software!

This app is designed for modeling with a pen/stylus on a tablet... like iPad. Not sure about windows surface?

Hi, thanks for your video! Is there a way to show only a detail of a part? Im my case, I have a very long part with important details in the middle. So I want to show only the middle-part in bigger resolution. Is that possible without cutting my object into parts?
Showing a detail of a part is not available yet, but one thing you could do is to copy the part, split it to the relevant details and create a drawing of the part that was split.

So I saved the file to print on paper on my flash drive. I was not able to print
its not working with my Huion kamvas 13.
I love the drawing function and am using it to prep my provisional patent application. What I can’t figure out, though, is how to get rid of the grid lines and description at the bottom, so it’s just my drawing. It’s not an issue when I can just screenshot and cut and paste what I want together (I have a large design with a few dozen individual pieces and the system even on my M1 ipad pro won’t render a full drawing). But when I’m doing the tall or large objects, that description box on the bottom really limits how I can size it, which makes it hard to get the detail I want. I’m having to cobble images together using half a dozen apps, just to get what I need. It’s still better than ANY option I had before - love Shapr3d - but just being able to do the drawing on a BLANK page would be amazing. Can’t seem to find anything about it in their help pages or on google.

Thanks. What’s weird to me is that I could swear at some point I tapped one button and the background disappeared so it was just a blank page with my drawing. Similar to what you can do on the picture page, with the background. I find myself wishing I could do it 9-10 times a day, when those markings obscure a drawing I need to be a certain a size. Please consider it.

Can we add our company log to drawing PDF through App on ipad? My current work around is adding it through a PDF editor after the fact.

Hi, great feature. But is there a way to save the drawing? Now when I go back to modelling, all my drawings, annotations are lost and I can only "create drawing" and start from scratch. Also, please, please add tolerances.
Hi there, you can export your 2D drawings or just go back to your designs and find their 2D drawings under 'Items' - 'drawings. Please check out this article for more details:

Is there a place we’re we can add additional sheets to drawings or will there be one in the future? Also the ability to add some tails with arrows pointing to the areas that are being noted or annotated would be rad too. Thanks!
Another nice feature would be If you could manually override and change dimensions, if they displayed in a different color prior to exporting this would avoid any confusion of what dims are true vs. altered.
Hi! Multi-sheet drawings are going to be released later, it is already on our roadmap. Note-taking is an implemented feature, please look for it from the Text menu within the Drawings tool. The altered dimensions feature is a great suggestion, thanks :)

Hi! The app is optimized for the Apple Pencil, and without it some features will not be accessible, like splines. You can Also use mouse and keyboard, or the macOS version :)
Will it be possible at some point to create an editable perspective view of the object in SVG (or EPS) 2D format? Rather than just isometric?

Ich finde das Programm super und hätte es auch gerne weiter genutzt. Aber für den Hobby Bereich mit stark eingeschränkten Leistungen für 30 Euro im Monat ist einfach viel zu teuer. Vor allem, weil ich es ja anfangs kostenlos nutzen konnte! Dann kam auf einmal diese Abo ding, mit dem die Hersteller immer mehr abkassieren, und ich will vielleicht gar nicht immer die beste Version, mir reicht die jetzt laufende, aber ich kann es nicht kaufen - sonder bin gezwungen es zu abonnieren. Schade und somit raus - ich arbeiten wieder am PC mit Rhino und habe die Software einmal gekauft und kann die ausgereifte Software dauerhaft benutzen. Sehr schade das die Hobby User so hart zur Kasse gebeten werden.

While i appreciate the feature its not fully useable yet. At least not if you want to make it DIN / use it in an engineering course. Things like geometrical tolerances cant be used - a key thing in mechanical engineering! Also the fact that the labeling field is.... not really that great makes it a chore to use.
Found some more that don`t work forme. For example when you create a cut the Letter „A“ has to stand under the cut line for a DIN drawing and in my drawing the top view shows the edges of radius. They are not seen in technical drawings.
You may have just persuaded me to return to Business subscription ;-[)
Cool product but I don’t see bright future for it because price is too high for hobbyist. Free export is terrible so it like does not exist. Autodesk will soon release Fusion 360 and then it will kill Shapr3D because Autodesk gives more or less freedom to hobbyist for free
