The lunar cycle repeats every 19 years. I believe Jesus was born in 2 B.C.E., so 2011+3/19=106. so, this moon was the one seen by Joseph and Mary in the year of
the birth of Jesus. Note that it is not after the equinox, so it is not the Passover moon.
It was the full moon on the extra month of the Jewish calendar in 2 B.C.E. In 2011 the Passover moon, Nisan 14, was the next Passover moon after this one.
