They should have made a remake of this play into a movie. A remake of the Original. Chamberlain is obviously marvelous as Henry Higgins. His voice and diction matching that of the legendary Rex Harrison. And his singing voice is vastly superior. Besides that, whoever looked better on stage or behind a camera? With the right combination of reworking the other main characters it would have been a monster hit. Of course, Richard Chamberlain would be a no brainer for the lead as Henry Higgins. At least we have this gem to watch to appreciate that magic that might have been.
