I don't think it would be that he just be kinder with her, it has to do with the fact that Yuki wants to explore the world, to do more things, same for the white haired guy, he is a traveler, he wanders and learns of diferent things and cultures and that's what Yuki wants, that's her dream. Instead Oushi wants to shield Yuki from the world, because he is afraid that she will get hurt, so the aprouches are very different between the both guys.

however the beauty of this is that itsuomi will never setle with any girl since he is a free soul and a traveler, and yuki is throwing herself the same way the purple girl was, so inevitably itsuomi will loose interest in yuki once he becomes accustomed to her, in the middle of that oushi will be forced to let go of yuki and move on, hence yuki will end up alone, she will finally be freed of oushi and hopefully oushi finds love in another girl, because at the end of the day for itsuomi yuki is nothing more than an experience@@gimenadelcarmencorreafalco4723

I think this was extremely important here. Because Itsuomi isn’t clear 100% if he has feelings for Yuki he does like her but he doesn’t know much about Yuki to call him hers yet. But he doesn’t behave like a jerk or speak on Yuki’s behave. He does admit that she told him it was okay if he does it. Can we just give Itsuomi boyfriend of the year award? And Yūki gets girlfriend of the year?

Yeah, no Itsuomi is also a jerk. Using his arm to block Yuki's eyes so she can't see Oushi's signs is wayyyy worse than anything Oushi has said to Yuki. People were dragging Oushi for being overprotective, well that what is Itsuomi doing? Taking it upon himself to decide that Yuki can't communicate with someone who is trying to talk to her. She's not a child, and she's not his property. And then lying to her afterwards about what was said. He's far more manipulative than Oushi is.

For context, his opinion is that deaf people should stay inside and not interact with the world because they’re too weak, and his he frequently tries to imply it’s stupid for the girl to go to university cause it’s a waste. So read his “protectiveness” in the context of that too.
The series is a lot about the love triangle representing the real world two philosophies on deafness. The friend represents the school of thought that deafness is a disease that makes deaf people less than and they need to be controlled and protected and have less rights like children for their own good. And the white haired LI represents the school of thought that sees deafness as it’s own culture with it’s own language, and that deaf people and hearing people are equal and interact best when trying to see the world from each other’s point of view, like it’s a cultural exchange.
Maybe watch the whole anime before flapping your lips.

I don't like either one or the other.They are both pushy. Blocking the girl's vision so that she couldn't see what her friend was saying was extremely rude. On the other hand, this friend is too inquisitive. Overall, this anime is sickeningly sweet. This girl lets this white guy do everything because "if it's him, everything is fine" but when, for example, his friend touches her hair, she tells him to get lost 😅
