@@JonathanWinbush You inspired me: You inspired me during a interview years back. Your story amazed me, your history of how you started animation manually. Next, you landed a job but they were using (if I recall correct) Cinema 4D , you said you knew how to use programs, but really did not know. You stayed late after work daily and read the manual to learn the program. I found that to be impressive. Another story you told, about how you saved up tax money for a flight to California in search for a job only to knock on the door and discover the company was closed. No cellphone no GPS. I say that to say this, the only place where success comes before work is I the “Dictionary”. Failures are lessons in disguise. I come from humble beginnings. I paid for new computers I started with a few crappy lap top. To a desktops and now I have a Alienware CPU i7 16gig x 4080 GPU. I bought CC3 & iclone7 and recently upgraded to CC4& iclone8. I learned modeling in Blender and Unreal engine. I learned photoshop but prefer (open source) Inkscape for SVG graphic editing. Thanks for your insights and inspiration.
Awesome work. I always notice the teeth in any Facial capture work. It just looks weird to me most times. I hope this can be improved more in the future.
This is a good step forward, but it has this one quality that most facial capture outputs have. The lips never close and the mouth shapes are very stiff. Thanks for for showing to use it because its probably a better tutorial than Reallusion would give us.
Yup but if you really wanted to hone it in you can fine tune it more to fix those corrections but just like mocap you take the raw data then have to do clean.
@@JonathanWinbush yeah the text and the entire interface is small. I would have to go into my pc settings and change my resolution to 1080p instead of 4k to view everything correctly. Reallusion needs a fix for this asap, it’s very annoying to keep switching back and forth
@@twistedjourney yea you're right that's been an issue for awhile they was supposed to add 4k support in 7.2 but yea I dunno lol. Little trick I use if you're on Windows is to hold the Windows key on your keyboard then hit the + button and that will make your screen zoom in. Do the same to go back hold down Windows and hit - to zoom back to 100%. Or you can search for Magnifier in your windows search bar and it'll open it as well
What GPU are you using? I have an old RTX 2080 Super. Although the Reallusion website states that AccuFace will work on it, I'm concerned about the performance. Will I be able to have a decent work flow using the RTX 2080?
I'm not sure how metahumans work but with this program you can use any camera and then you can export your animation as an FBX. I know reallusion has some metahumans tutorials on their page here ruclips.net/video/yTRWVpgrG2M/видео.htmlsi=ZNKsP7OPxB5AXniV
Could you do a tutorial on iclone to unreal workflow? I am using timecode sync to record my animation across to unreal. However my camera settings look nothing alike. Almost everything is out of focus. And then struggling to render out with the best looking settings
@@JonathanWinbush when I export as fbx from iclone, I get the fbx, a folder with textures and a JSON file. What data table option should I use in Unreal to import that?
I never got the live one but with this you wanted to record anywhere on any device this would do you better. When I tried live with this it wasn't as good as the prerecorded
Another awesome Winbush tutorial!
Thank you so much! 🤙🏿
Great tutorial! Thanks on the camera tip! I had some problems at first with my calibration. Hopefully this helps
Wow! This is so useful. Will combine it with my kinect mocap 😁🤙
Perfect! 🤙🏿
Gonna try it out as soons as my I got my iPhone. Great overview! Thanks alot.
So cool!!!

Fantastic tut Winbush! THANK YOU!
You're very welcome! 🤙🏿
Thank you broski for this!!
Absolutely 🤙🏾
This is sick !!!🔥🔥🔥
Thanks brother man 🤙🏿💪🏿
Thank you so much
Really great tut. Wondered how to combine the body with mocap face! Thanks!
No worries glad it helped ya out 🤙🏾
Very insightful.Amazing work I’ve been working with iclone and CC for a few years.
Yea I like the reallusion programs

That's really interesting, but why I do i feel like the metahuman is mocking us 😂
lol how do you mean
thanks for this step by step tutorial, what do you think is better, Metahuman animate face or Iclone ?
Ive not used metahumans so it's hard for me to compare. I've always just like character creator so I stuck with that
I got Accuface as well, and havent played around with it yet. Using a 4k monitor but the window for ACCuface is too small. Love the workflow!
You can stretch the accuface window or do you mean the text is to small?

This is very vool, thanks for that... how will you export to uefn?
Thanks, you'd just export as an fbx with the unreal settings
❤❤❤
😁

I'm currently using the 4090 but I can't speak on the 2080 as I dont have one to test out
My Metahumans are always Corrupt and cant be imported. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
Wish i could help i don't really use metahumans though
@@JonathanWinbush Yeah man , its annoying as hell man.
Hi Winbush, please tell me is there a way to convey facial animations in this app to metahuman? I don't have an iPhone and this program helps me a lot

Reallusion products are too expensive for a simple hobbist of 3D. Not even a student license.
They are a serious investment but thankfully can buy piece by piece. It’s a great idea for a career booster.

@dvspriest I don't use the plugin I just use the fbx method
@@JonathanWinbush would love to see that workflow. I am struggling going back and forth with iclone and unreal
@@JonathanWinbush when I export as fbx from iclone, I get the fbx, a folder with textures and a JSON file. What data table option should I use in Unreal to import that?
just import the fbx
Do you think this is worth the upgrade from their liveface app?
I never got the live one but with this you wanted to record anywhere on any device this would do you better. When I tried live with this it wasn't as good as the prerecorded
What about the metahuman animator? Is it because need recent iphone only for the face animation although seems to be very high level on the MH!
I'm not sure I don't use the metahumans at all its more complicated to use than iclone in my opinion
Yep Understand, iclone are more user friendly actually@@JonathanWinbush
I wonder if using a 4k webcam would improve the accuracy- nevermind you answered this.
In the documentation it actually suggest 720
I originally did 4k and it wasn't good
Not working for me....green tracking points not showing on face😢
Could it MoCap the entire body?
This is just for the face you'd have to use a mocap solution like a suit or move ai for the body
can i use accuface in a laptop with amd radeon graphics card?
It'll work on a laptop but I think it has to be an nvidia gpu
@@JonathanWinbush thanks alot bro!. keep blessing us with great tutorials like this one
@@Backp4ck.Studios Thanks fam appreciate it 🙏🏿🙏🏿
The result is very bad, but acceptable for something very basic.
Ok for a start but clean up is always needed after to make it perfect 🤙🏾
