Hello Wendy, I got your book The joy of Botanical drawing today and I’m so excited to start learning and practicing this beautiful art. This is a truly inspiring book and it’s in and of itself a work of art. Thank you for bringing the beauty of the natural world closer to us.

Thank you! I hope to see you one day! I have transformed the back of my little plant shop into an art studio. With your help, I finally have the tools and teaching to help me learn botanical drawing. Each new attempt gets taped to my walls! Thanks for sharing your joy and instructions.

I love your suggestion of picking a theme. Everywhere I live, rented or owned, I create a green space. My current focus is on the plants and shrubs I have donated to Mother Earth. I look forward to more of your videos. I also love the less is more idea for art supplies: quality over quantity.

Great video! I find it funny how you asked us to decide a theme for our drawings. My personal theme has always been drawing ancient plant species, such as plants that have been around for millions of years.

@@drawbotanical Helianthus, or sunflowers, they're an ancient species and really fun to draw for me personally.

Thank you Wendy, this video was very helpful. My art experience is primarily with watercolor but I am just getting interested in colored pencil but don't know where to begin. I have both of your books and will start there. My style is between loose botanicals and realistic botanical art. I tend not to be interested in the exact measurements of a plant but approach it from a less detailed style. I admire your art and aim to practice until I get better.

Dear Wendy, thanks a lot for your wonderful drawings of flowers! I came across to your book in an online bookshop a week ago and I was really surprised to see such amazing, true to life pictures! They looked like photos and even better! I was interested in this kind of drawing and started to seach for more information, so I've found your RUclips channel and wants to try drawing.
    Greetings from Russia.)))

    Hi Wendy
Im a new beginner and I would like to join the Botanical Basics; however, l only have an iPad, do l need to have computer? Also l have several questions. Do you yourself teach the courses or sessions, how long is each session, do l have access to these classes any time l need to go back and repeat a lesson. Do l get a list of materials needed, it’s not explained if l’m not happy l can stop any time.
    Thank you,
    Marie
