    I love condor. This video helped me buy the pouch for my new battle belt built of almost entirely condor stuff.
    Also what most people dont understand is that the military doesnt get the top of the line stuff either. Its all lowest bidder. Some of the molle pouches i got while in the service is pretty much the same some of it is even thinner.

    Im vet 1/506th 1/327th 11B 90-94 and the newer Condor stuff is nicer than what i was issued in the 101st back in the 90s... The mag pouches with the elastic bands for retention would never pass Airborne infantry standards but the flap retention pouches would. Comdor aint bad at all.. And the clothing is great.

    I have ran Condor gear for 5+ years of pretty hardcore training and have no complaints. No failures, no issues. The price is great, and the performance is also. So it is not Crye, who cares. Unless you are a tactical fashion geek, then it does not matter. If you want true performance that you can afford, then Condor is great!To put your TQ on the side of it, interlace rubber bands through the MOLLE, then around the TQ, works great, and you can just rip it off if you need it. Plus it is inexpensive.

      @Robert Clayton when Condor first hit the market their quality was spotty, at best. They targeted the Airsoft guys, and it's just kind of stuck with some of the Googlewebz commando crowd. You know, the guys that tell you what $100 ammo pouch all the legit operators run, but never spent a day on active duty themselves.

    Great review thank you for helping me make up my mind for my next ifak purchase, I haven’t looked into the material assuming some cordura so water resistive, how about the zippers ? Maybe a rain and submerged in water test in the future ?

    • @deangullberry5148
      @deangullberry5148 6 лет назад +1

      They use YKK zippers, 500D nylon (Elite line uses 1000D). Condor gear isn't going to do well in a submersion test. Everything they make has grommeted drain holes. But I've worn my stuff in some pretty nasty storms and the rain water didn't get through.

    • @BearIndependent
      @BearIndependent  6 лет назад

      it's water-resistant with good zippers. It's not going to fair well in an immersion test; most ballistic nylon pouches don't either. Too many holes. But it does have the grommets and that's why all your med gear should be shrink-wrapped air/water tight.

    I have a Condor and a Blackhawk of very similar style. Sure there's a difference in build quality but I'm not in the Sandbox. I'm rolling in and out of a car 8-10-12 hours a da and booting an occasional door. There's some things that I don't worry about being 2nd grade and some i want to be top grade quality. But i will say in the last 5 years Condor has come a very long way from where they once were. Good video Brother

      North American Rescue Combat Application Tourniquet (NAR CAT). It's one of three approved by the TCCC committee (yes, it's a thing). DO NOT buy the cheap knock-offs. My favorite Medical channel is Prepmedic. A lot of my stuff is Condor. Honestly, It wears about as well as all the stuff Uncle Sugar issued me, and it's cheaper. I've started moving away from Quick Clot, there's a lot of data coming out showing it to be no more effective than old-fashioned crinkle cotton, has a fairly short shelf life, and is linked to strokes.

      The Big Green Machine Loves you Screamin' Eagles. "Here's some new gear, it's of questionable design. and made by the lowest bidder. Go forth, and tell us how awesome it is". Maybe I was just use to it, but I found the LBE/LCE to be much better. I tried the vest on, and "lost" it until I couldn't not field it anymore. I only had the FLC for a couple of months before my ETS, so I didn't run it through the ringer everything else got. I still have my GP, large.

    Why do you have an NPA (nasopharyngeal airway) over an OPA (oropharyngeal airway)? How are you going to deliver the O2? Blow thru the tube? And how are you going to guide it into the lungs with no obvious instrument? Perhaps thru a hole in the neck? I am a former Combat Medic and it's been a while. So I was just wondering.

      I'm having to relearn all my medical training too (not as extensive as yours). OPA's aren't really used anymore. NPA's don't do as much damage to the throat and can be administered into a conscious patient. The tube slips through the nasal passage, bypassing the tongue (or any other obstruction, allowing the patient to breath through his nose.

    Not trying to be a smart ass, but why not just cut the spring-cord on the IFAK... then you can do what you want with the "folder" of contents.

    SHHHH, don't tell anybody but you can use the empty wrapper from the IZZY dressing as a chest seal, just add tape.

      They're using YKK zippers; I haven't had a problem with their gear yet, truthfully.

    Mil Spec. Lowest bidder. TQ Pouch on the one side and a Cyalume stick on the other. scissors on a tether inside. Tah, dah.

    I laugh at people who think "Mil spec" is some god power stuff, first there is no actual thing as "Mil spec" for build quality, just how things have to look, second, Condor literally use to have a contract with the U.S. Army for stuff, and yes even their vests for armor, my buddie had pictures from his armor rig when he was in IRAQ and it literally had a condor tag in it, the military buys the cheapest stuff that still "gets the job done"
