Great video. My dad had a 68 Charger with a 440 in it way back when. This is just a beautiful car. Thanks for posting and thanks to the owner for sharing.
Classic muscle, they did an awesome job on the restoration, love that paint and the interior is badass, gotta love chargers, thanks for showing us this beast!!!
My first car was a 68 Charger in '74, had it for 11 yrs then in 2000 I got one to restore but never did (never had time or money at the same time). I can't watch Charger videos for very long though, I start thinking about the good ol' days, lol.
Thank you for posting this beautifully restored Charger! This is one of the cleanest I've seen online. Great to see the original air cleaner. BTW the factory air cleaner base has an "air horn", the important curved part that feeds air into the carb more smoothly. This reduces turbulence at the carb inlet and through the venturi, more air flow, more stable air/fuel ratio and better fuel atomization, a few more HP, more torque, better mileage, win/win.
I love everything about this car. Very professional looking restoration. When I am in a position to restore an old mopar in the future, I am going to paint it orange. Orange just looks right for a mopar in my opinion.
That is one of the nicest chargers I have seen in a long while. What can I say It's a HOT car with a HOT owner. All you need to do is weld the doors shut, Add a roll bar and the graphics and you got a repro of the real General. Great job as always Scottie.
Absolutely gorgeous. I've got a 70 Road Runner with 383 and am seriously considering doing the stroker thing. Got a price from local engine builder and it was pretty affordable. That's how I found your video. Nice work.
That's nice. Still my favorite year for the Charger, next would be the '69. She's lucky to have a cool dad to help her with restoring it... it turned out nice!
Hi Girl, yea the charger is reallly nice. that is lambo orange off a Miura, or countach, or an urracco, yea i like this yr charger too, i was 9 yrs old and a mom that dropped her kids off at school yrs ago had a really pretty white, and black top charger 383 like your's and id listen to that thing take off down the road after she dropped her kid's off, mannn that nice warm deep sound of that 383 was soo nice to listen to.
Hi maylene, Im looking at charger 383's with 4 spd's avoiding car dealer's and auction's like the plague. I think im gonna do the stripe's on back like the R/T version
Hi scottie, yea i can just see that white chager coming down the griveway to drop her boy, or girl off ansd then turning around and go up the driveway and going out and down the street. never forget that warm sound of that 383, I would pick up that sound of different car's on the freeway on film bullitt too. Id like to find a white and black vinyl top version of your car in a 4 spd, with the mag 500 wheel's.
God grant me the permission to drive a 68 Mopar anything before I die.So beautiful!! Closest I can get is my 2013 Avenger R/T,and its way off from a real MOPAR.
Nice '68. BTW, the Dukes was a '69 and still plenty about. But the '68 is the next MOPAR I am getting..This is my current MOPAR ;) 1967 dodge coronet 500 - 383 Big Block w/727 Auto
Do you know what a 383 Stroker is??? It's a Chevy 350 with a 400 crank. That's a 383 chrysler motor,,,not a chevy stroker. Gorgeous car. those bumble bee stripes set it off. Those "designs" are called scallops. There's not a bad angle on a 68 charger.
barfyspitz Yes the most famous is a chevy Stroker...but you can stroke any motor...this is a 383...what it was stroked to....she didn't know....you can bore and stroke any motor..I don't claim to know anything...but I believe I am correct about his
At 1:47 she's says it's a 383 stroker which is the engine/crank combo of a 350block/400crank which is a small block. If you notice the distributor is up front. That's a 383 b block. She said it was the same engine size.I think she is confused. If it was stroked it would be like a 438 or even a 496 stroker etc.
barfyspitz That is was I said...I asked her what it was stroked to...she didn't know....she did know it started as a 383...as you stated it was...I don't expect these good folks that let me shoot their car to know a answer to every question...they may have never figured it..I don't know...We were not trying to mislead you....
That is one of the nicest Chargers I have ever seen. Those seats with the orange inserts are the bomb. Awesome !
Right on...Glad You liked it!!

Stroker has nothing to do with brand....
I think Gm is known for the 350 block. I'm not sure what you mean? You know that charger had a 383 b block engine right?
barfyspitz Yes the most famous is a chevy Stroker...but you can stroke any motor...this is a 383...what it was stroked to....she didn't know....you can bore and stroke any motor..I don't claim to know anything...but I believe I am correct about his
