Maybe do a video some day talking a little bit about your background and how you came to learn so much about this subject. I think that would be very interesting.
I own probably 200 ratchets of all makes and types. My favorite are the round head Craftsmans of the early 80s. After that SO pear heads. I use them daily.
Ah another fellow ratchet addict I also have around 200 ratchets as well and yes the craftsman rhft ratchets were one of the best ratchets craftsman had
@@WorkHorseLT Absolutely! I own a 1930s ish Craftsman and a 1949 SO, both pear heads. To last years SO pear head 1/4" drive 1 foot long. My old round heads from the early 80s are still the best!
@@upsidedowndog1256 my oldest ratchet are a 1929 snap on 1/2 that I bought for a $1 and all the way up to modern craftsman and pretty much everything in between except for mac I don't have a single ratchet from them
Just found my old huskey 24202 ratchet. Use to use it taking apart my bikes as a kid lol, pales in comparison to my snap on and harborfreight stuff but i want to it rebuild it now
Great video, you've always got some great content. I have one of the very early USA Husky sets, the thing is solid and one of my favorites. Their quality has changed over the years and through the offshoring but it's still decent stuff
Another Great Informative Video Big Cat 🐈 Thanks ! I Just Watched This One . I'm Going to Try This On My Older Husky With A New Internal Snap Ring . I Was Wondering How To Get The Slop Out of The Anvil .
I watched a review on a Teq Correct 3/8 ratchet and wanted to try one out. So, I went to Advance Auto and bought one. Got it home and a couple days later, realized it is identical in every way to my Husky 3/8. You can swap the innards and continue to use both with no issues.
They really are great ratchets. I have a Husky CS 43 that I purchased used almost 40 years when i was teenager. I have taken it apart and cleaned and serviced it several times throughout the years and replaced the spring clip with a lock ring. My problem nnow is the head has a lot of play and skips and i haven't been able to locate a rebuild kit to replace the worn parts. Any ideas of a rebuild kit i could use? I've had this ratchet so long that it's part of the family and i don't want to warranty it for a new cheap piece of junk
Are the original split retaining rings normed, so that a common size snap ring will fit in there? I'd like to do this to my Husky, but have never tried to buy split rings.
I continue to find your vids informative and surprisingly,...relaxing. Thanks!
Thank you
Love the vintage tool reviews! Keep up the good work.

Would love to see a seres of videos pertaining to various types of ‘shop chemicals’. I still don’t know when to use silicone vs Teflon based lubes

I got the exact same ratchet from flee market just 2 weeks ago for 5$
Funny you should mention one I found one that was cracked in the head and home depot warrantee it
Nice to see you got a warranty oshane the head craft but it's a testament to the ratchet mechanism
You gotta get that left thumb nail taken care of!
Definitely just a NB made under the litton industries era before HD bought the line.
The old Marco is the same mechanism....
