  • Salsa body movement. It's about shoulders.
    Shoulders exercises, to be more specific.
    You have 4 shoulder exercises organized like this:
    *3 exercises for both shoulders at once
    *1 exercise for one shoulder at a time. But for this one you just repeat the other 3 for each shoulder. One by one.
    Question of the day: which set of exercises was harder for you?

    Actually I'm not a dancer but I try to learn body isolation and I'll just have to practice A LOT before being able to move my chest or my upper body without moving my hip😂

    Hi Marius!! Is there such a thing as moving the ribs? Like making circular moves with them? I think Desiree does that. Would you mind making a video teaching how do do it?

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  5 лет назад +1

      Hello. It's more like a chest to abs circular movement... But yeah, kind of a ribcage, will do something like that of a tutorial... Hopefully tonight I'm gonna dance with her and find out exactly what is she doing. Haha

    I can do the shoulder movements presented in these tutorials with some measure of ease, yet I'm utterly unable to include them while also stepping (as in "moving my legs"). I am well aware that in general I find much easier to isolate body parts (especially upper body) than controlling upper and lower body at the same time, yet I was wondering whether should I try to overcome such difficulties by focusing even more on perfecting isolations, or some other kind of coordination exercises to fix the underlying lack of coordination (?). What are your thoughts on the matter, if I may ask?

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  4 года назад +2

      Hello. My recommendation is trying to coordonate the moves with the steps, very very slowly. That way you do 2 things... you learn how to coordonate better and also you will learn the moves that you want.

      @@MariusElenaBachata thanks. I'll try to slow down a lot. Right now I can't keep the basic step with some very simple shoulder movements while keeping both on time with *my own* count (not even music :P)

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  4 года назад +1

      Baby steps. I would try this first. Keep the time on music by counting. After you do this easily, just start with 1 exercise involving the shoulders on the basic step (rolling just the left shoulder on 1 2 3 4, on 5 6 7 8 just rest)

      @@MariusElenaBachata Baby steps it is, then. Once learnt the shoulder movements by themselves, I had hoped to be able to incorporate them more easily. Patience. Will try this. Many thanks again for everything, please keep up the outstanding work!
