  • Sept. 14, 2011. Storm blew in with lots of thunder & lightening & then heavy rain & hail. There was one little canyon at the end of our cove that became much wider and deeper after the rain and the most dramatic scene was the mud coming over two sides of the giant rock across the cove and near the neighboring house boat. Note on top of the rock the area of mud that looks like it is 'boiling'. The whole storm came and went in an hour's time.

The way she says "Oh my God" brings back that voice of Chandler Bing's Girlfriend in "Friends"

Funny, the flood water going into the lake is brownish/red, but the lake water remain Crystal clear...

@ramon hernandez we just returned from LP and rode by this area. Since the water level is so low, the landscape looks a lot different and there is not a good spot to dock here. As far as location, it is one of the "fingers" at the west end of Face Cyn. Monsoon is June 15 to Sept. 30 so watch for the storms!

“Are they safe?” Like there was anything you could have possibly done if they weren’t’.

Well yes, SA, we could have taken our motor boat over and brought them to safety.

Karen: “Are they safe over there?” Maybe or maybe not, but what the hell are you or anyone else gonna do about it!!!!!!!!

We could have helped them if needed. As it turned out everyone on that houseboat was out hiking when the storm hit.
