I was at Maple Grove on that Saturday. I have been following Tony when he was in NASCAR. I am so glad that he came to drag racing. I was so happy he won in Maple Grove. Tony is amazing and talented driver no matter what he drives. 🤗🤗
👏 THIS 👏 This video is AMAZING! Thanks to everyone involved in creating it. I’ve been a fan since Smoke’s rookie year in cup racing and had the privilege of watching him race (in person) at Daytona, Charlotte, Richmond, Dover, and in my home state at Pocono. I’ve also gotten to see him on dirt near home at William’s Grove. The 2023 NHRA event at Maple Grove will now forever be my favorite because I finally got to meet him!! I love all motor sports, but admittedly have very little understanding of how drag racing works. This video helps a little with that.
TONY is a throw back to AJ Foyt and Dale Earnhardt Sr....this guy is cool...hope he can win many championships in Nitro and Alcohol Dragster....one of the best things to happen in NHRA in a very long time having a legend like Tony Stewart to adopt drag racing....will definitely bring in new fans...going to a NHRA national event is the best value a racing fan can get in any motorsport world wide...
Tony Stewart has to be one of, if not the best, drivers in motor sports history. Obviously the man has a good head on his shoulders to be such a successful businessman. It’s a pleasure to watch him work
Proud of you, Tony! We met in Lakeville, Indiana several years ago when Hoosier Tire had a luncheon that you were at! Bob & Joyce Newton were both there as well a your buddy Irish Saunders! Thanks for all that you have done for motorsports nationwide...you are the best!
Love it Tony. We are much slower than yall of course ( 5.90 1/8 mile n/a car) but, could not agree more with you and crew- its the thrash , the details, lady luck , sweat, pain and pushing the brain that makes winning so dang special in this sport. Winning is so stinking hard and thus so stinking special. Congratulations to you, the whole crew ,ownership and sponsors.. Straight up work, high level tradecraft , high level focus in the shop, at the track and in between. Lots of crazy stuff going on in the world but, in racing, well, it's all about getting the job done the right way, no shortcuts. All in, all the time. Yall have an amazing team. Again, congrats !!
That's so awesome Tony I've watched you from your start in the Winston Cup all the way till now I don't think there is a more passionate driver out there your humble to everything it's awesome to see someone so good at driving but gives all the praise to his team and team's your truly one of a kind Sir.....
Maple Grove, probably America's finest drag strip. Even the drive off Rt. 222 to the dragstrip is a wonder drive through the countryside. The grounds are massive and if anyone can ever has the opportunity to go, drop everything and go.
Hey, guys, I absolutely love this video. Watching Tony Stewart racing in a top alcohol car was awesome. Congrats, Tony, hope you get many more. Wally's brother, love what you do.
Tony Stewart and Kyle Larson both have the ability to create new fans in the racing world. Most people typically stay with one series in particular, however when you're a fan of theirs you go where they go. Having crossover fans will create strong interest in drag racing and spring car racing well into the future.
I live near Epping, go to the Nationals there, but Maple Grove is always fast, as long as the weather is cooperating. I also get a kick out of seeing the Amish folks up on the hill next to the track checking things out.
I would very much appreciate the amount of effort into really trying to show people what this is about because fans in stands/butts in seats/engagement in the pits grows the sport, moreover, get people engaged in “the real world“ we can meet someone or see them on TV, I’m no particular order, and will kind of go “holy crap! I hung out with that person for 45 minutes on a Friday night at the track!” sometimes not even realizing that they are the driver or a truck operator, whatever it might be.. and the way I got involved with this was same as a lot of people, fan in the stands, hang out in the pits, get to talking texting you know they ask you if you want to do the clutch in an injector nitro car! That lead to be working on some pretty incredible stuff with some very smart and talented people from pro modified all the way to the TF and AA/FC! There is absolutely no other sport like that,, sure, there are some functional, but that generally the minority of things. No one cares they just want to get along. Have a good time, driver safe and have a well tune machine (or be an integral part of it) literally or figuratively. Excellent excellent excellent video!
Didn't get there this year.. Maple Grove, Williams Grove, Lincoln last year . I had an Epic Bucket List 3 Days... The Places are Just Beautiful.. Amish Countryside.. Literally parking and camping on peoples Properties at all 3 of em.. #PAMotorsports
So the m&m's are the tea leaves to be read before the run. 👍👍👍 I have seen drivers in their dragster fall asleep waiting for their turn to run. It is very comfortable in the seat of a dragster.
I like the part about how hot it can get in their suits. He can sit in the car strapped in for hours, cause hes used to it. Being strapped in the car, waiting in the staging lanes, in the heat and sun, wearing thick safety gear, can be miserable for the drivers, but for Tony, its his zen time.
No top fuel class is easy. Been there and done for a few years in the early 70's. We sold our former NHRA AA/FC cars to Jim Liberman in 1974. That car is now at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala FL.
Home Depot should be with him again, they are probably kicking them self for not keeping him from the 20 days, deWalt tools also should be on the cars, thanks BigAl California
Tony went from NASCAR to NHRA..... a fantastic change..!!!
Really LOVED this video! Tony Stewart has definitely added excitement to the sportsman classes. Whoever produced this video is TOP NOTCH! 😊
Thank you, it is much appreciated!
This really shows what a team sport this is. There are so many people involved with the performance of the dragster.
Friggin’ mini documentary here.
Tony’s looking healthier in the recent few years. Good to see things come together for him…
Thanks for sharing.

Stewart is a motorsports legend & it’s an honor to have him Involved in NHRA now, just the next chapter in racing career!
👏 THIS 👏

The production quality of this was amazing. So was the event itself. I wish I could get this for every race.
Thanks Tony, have watched you your whole career, and it's always amazing 👍🏼✝️ Thank you for everything. Best of luck.

A modern AJ Foyt with mad skills. Best of luck Tony and Leah!

Tony is blessed. That's truly a racing family. Congratulations!
Maple Grove, probably America's finest drag strip. Even the drive off Rt. 222 to the dragstrip is a wonder drive through the countryside. The grounds are massive and if anyone can ever has the opportunity to go, drop everything and go.

トニーがドラックレースで走っているとは知りませんでした。チームと一体感があり見ていて痺れました。
現役のレーサーなんだな。最高にカッコよかったよ。スモーク!これからに期待してます。
Congrats on the win and the points lead!
He was disqualified last weekend at Charlotte so he is second in points with 3 events to go .
Great video. Thank you
Retirement is treating you well... Keep it up. Enjoy.

Tony has always brought fans to the smaller tracks and been a selfless promoter of motorsports.

Just wondering Tony if you and your team have figured out the issues with the magnetos while at ZMax ?
Great Job! BTW: Who ratted their team out, for the un-approved magnetos ? The team that sold them ?
I like you are in car when you tow to starting line
Home Depot should be with him again, they are probably kicking them self for not keeping him from the 20 days, deWalt tools also should be on the cars, thanks BigAl California
Tony it looks to me like you young than when you retired from NASCAR
Who is he Tony Stewart a race car driver
I have never bought any oil but mobile 1
Who owns the Aussie Shepherd dog? I have one. She's 6 years old. Awesome dogs.
