In face centred cubic, the white balls contribute to 1/8th of an atom and there's 8 of them so 8×1/8 gives u 1. And there are those red balls which are actually 1/2th of an atom as half of it is bulging out the plane. And there's 6 of them for 6 faces so 6×1/2 is 3 Adding the previous 1 with the 3 here and we get 1+3=4 atoms 👍
