I thought that Aimrec was dead in the water - I had no idea that they are doing such a great job in Bethersden. Thanks for bringing it to our attention in such an enjoyable video :)
Well worth a visit! Such a friendly welcome and an excellent slice of cake to be had. My son most enjoyed making station announcements over the tannoy.
What a really interesting venue , a happy place to visit and a big well done for showing this on your video with and another interesting interview. I wish them well and may they long continue. I'm also beginning to warm to Mr G with his wicked sense of humour!! . Htob uoy ot enod llew!!
Hi Dawn- After a week of bad news it was great to see something positive . That is a great project and one I must visit as it is not to far from me. Oh and I see you are not far off 5k subs. Cheers Kev
For those who missed the news. Warley model rail club have cancelled any future shows in the NEC. Hopefully the industry can step in and organise the event taking it forward.
Dawn, I am a recent subscriber (found you via RUclips recommendations). I love your polished and well presented content. I hope your channel grows exponentially. Your effort in delivering well researched and thoughtful content is very much appreciated. Just one thing; would be great if you and grumpy cameraman could release in 1440, but I'm not complaining about 720 😄All the best, Simon.
Ssssh... don't blow his cover. He likes to cultivate an "air of "mystique... or at least that's what he calls it. I may well call it something else behind his back.
0:48 Dawn "What on earth are you doing?" Grumpy cameraman “I'm doing the sound effects." Dawn "Oh, can you at least get the notes right?" Grumpy cameraman "I think you'll find I'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order." Sorry, couldn't resist 😁 Edit: I hope they manage to get bigger premises, Pempoul is one of the layouts I've always wanted to see in real life.
I don't think we're quite at the comedic genius level of Morecombe and Wise, but that sketch certainly is the gift that keeps on giving. We have a lot of fun filming - hard work, but fun! I also hope AIMREC gets bigger premises - it would be lovely to see all their "big guns" layouts out and operating!
What a shame there aren't more places like that to enthuse young folk, especially as the hobby is showing worrying signs of decline (Hatton's, Warley, etc., etc.)
Good too have something positive about model railways it’s not all doom and gloom and coming to an end as some would have you believe Is the grumpy camera man your husband? I don’t know how you put up with him 😂
Hi, I am a volunteer at AIMREC (The train driver that features in the intro) we aren’t currently shipping we’re currently just a local model railway shop with pickup only. Sorry. I can recommend rails of Sheffield if your looking for a great online model shop that ship.
Really looks a lovely place, enjoyed the video and grumpy Cameraman 😂 some great entertainment. 👍

I have (mild to high functioning) autism and I am so pleased to hear the good work this chap is doing for those with this condition.
I live in Wiltshire, but hope to visit when visiting a friend in Maidstone later in the Spring
Thanks for visiting from your train driver!
Hi! I had a great time - thank you!

That looks and sounds like a great place to visit. Well done for covering it and bringing it to people's attention........cheers James 🙂👍
If Paradise does exist, it must be something like that! Ciao to you Lady Quest and to the Grumpy Camera Man
I agree - I could have happily stayed all weekend. Ciao to you Michele!

_Roger Daltry?!_
*I ❤️ THE WHO!*
{Really.}
I'll bet Grumpy Cameraman is quite the comedian and a "jolly good fellow" in real life.
Ssssh... don't blow his cover. He likes to cultivate an "air of "mystique... or at least that's what he calls it. I may well call it something else behind his back.
What happened with the Roger Daltrey connection??

Agreed - but it only takes one AIMREC and people like Fred and family to get the ball rolling.
Good too have something positive about model railways it’s not all doom and gloom and coming to an end as some would have you believe

Indeed!! And no. He’s not. I put up with him because he’s cheap. 😂
Do they ship to North America?
They have a small shop - not sure of their shipping, but you can email and ask. They're very helpful and friendly.
