Some things the iceberg didn't cover: Steve is a trooper: before Pikmin 3 people often referred to red leaf pikmin as "steve" and called him a trooper, I don't know where it originated from. Character D: a cut character from Pikmin 3 Dazzz once made a funny video about. Pikmin 2 messages censored: in the switch release of Pikmin 2 some end of day messages are altered to be less unhinged, like the president being kidnapped by loansharks and threatened with being murdered or Olimar's family forgetting to feed Bulbie causing him to look skinny.
"Steve" is from Chuggaaconroy's Let's Play of Pikmin 1. At the beginning of the series he dubbed the first leaf Pikmin he plucked "Steve" and declared no one likes him. Later on during the end of day countdown in the Forest Naval, Chuggaaconroy was rounding up stray Pikmin when he found "Steve" trying to carry back a Fiery Blowhog, and dubbed him a trooper for his efforts.
This video is great! Some of the stuff on Pikmin 3's unused enemies is incorrect, specificly the _Old series of them, a lot are functional or simply have broken AI but function with minor edits. Not to advertise but I do have a video of them functioning on my channel
1:23:14 My answer would be, if oxygen is toxic to olimar and he’s trapped in sleep mode. Then the wraith is somehow feeding olimar and filtering out oxygen contaminating his body. As for why it imprinted on to olimar? I have no clue how wraiths reproduce (and I don’t want to), my best guess is after hitting it’s meteor, and bombarding it with purples, it’s somehow trying to kill olimar with kindness for a peaceful life.

1:31:07 If you dolts (as in, the larger Pikmin fanbase) bothered to read the Segmented Crawbster's Piklopedia entry, you'd know that there's no way that claw is related to a Crawbster, and this utter nonsense would stop being so widespread. This message being directed at the general Pikmin fandom doesn't mean I wont still throw a bit of shade at this video's contributors for not bothering to check and as a result continue to propagate this misconception. Really though, I'm just frustrated how this false info has seemingly existed for over a decade, and is still widely spread despite how easy it is to debunk.
With how thorough this video is I'm surprised a few things weren't included like: - the planet being radioactive, as shown in the giger counter from olimar's ship - the implication that the residents of the house in pikmin 4 were trying to leave in a hurry (suitcases, bags and belongings scattered) - the ship from pikmin 2 showing up in space in mario galaxy - "humans are the origin" is basically confirmed through the sherperd logs in pikmin 4 - the theory that emperor bulblax didn't leave a corpse in pikmin 1 because it was the plasma wraith all along - varietytelevisions' onion theory of how the onions actually cause the ship crashes through electromagnetic waves
If pikmin 4 follows the bad ending of pikmin 1 then isn't it more of an alternate storyline/future instead of a reboot?....aaand then someone else says just that lol.
Like that’s awesome I’m on here in some way or another, it’s very cool, but damn there is a WHOLE BEHIND THE SCENES STORY attached to Patrol Pikmin and how I was able to recreate it.
