Mankayam, situated about 45 kms North-east of Thiruvananthapuram, is one of the popular eco-tourism spots in Kerala. From the mighty hill ranges of Chemunchi emanates the Chittar River flowing down through the forests, creating a tributary in the form of the Mankayam River. The various picturesque miliky cascades are the major tourist attractions at Manakayam.
