Something I adore about you is how respectful and curious you always are, and that was especially the case in this video. You found things to appreciate about the cards and took the time to learn a bit about them. Such a delight watching you pick up on things like the Eevee forms and remember bits and pieces from the animated show/movies. Reminded me a lot of my mom in the best way. Excitedly looking forward to the other binder!
The reason they’re in such protection is because they’re likely all in mint condition - so preservation of the integrity of the card is super important hence the double layer cases. He’s got a nice collection
@@spacegerbal7822 non ring binders are fine but as far as protection goes penny sleeve top loader/ card saver in a team bag is the way to go. binders look cool but i wouldnt say they are the best
@@DannyConceptsring binders are bad because of the pressure they can apply to the edges and such. A modern side loader binder with some quality sleeves is perfectly fine. The one in the video isn’t terrible because it’s a D ring so the side that faces the cards is flat. As long as you don’t put too many pages into it.
Actually you're not supposed to wear gloves. Thats why 99% of the big openings are done barehanded with clean dry hands. The gloves can actually damage the cards more and make it more difficult to have a firm yet soft grip on the card. I would be very upset if my mom did this to my cards but I know it comes from a loving place.

Fun video! Another easy thing to look for is the rarity symbols on the bottom. It's been a while since I knew what the symbols represent, but I know a star is a good sign. They increase in rarity from 1 white star, 2 white stars, 1 yellow star, 2 yellow stars, and I even think there are orangish/bronze stars which are the rarest of all. Most cards with stars on them are going to fetch $5-$75, and of course a select few much more than that.
