I am so glad I've got a BA wagon. No mucking about with cradles, blades and tail shaft centre bearings. Good old leaf springs and a full length tail shaft..
Amazing dexterity as always Scott. Great idea with the sicaflex.
Love the paint job. Looks awesome.

The wagon can only dream of performing like IRS, the IRS can only dream of costing the same amount as a solid diff.

Hey Scotty, before you undo the diff cradle, place your jack under the cradle, with 4 bits of 4 x 2 timber for extra height, jack it as high as your jack will go and set it up on your axle stands with a bit of timber under each axle stand if your lucky enough to get it that high. This leaves heaps of room for manouvering the cradle in and out.

Awesome as always, I swapped out AU XR8 whole diff cradle, shocks etc from open wheel to LSD with no hoist single handed (just with my left) few years back but hell yeah should have sickaflexed up the bushes, nice work Scott, your a great inspiration for me and shows what we can do if we keen enough... respect

Get some extensions for your rattle gun. You can reach the 6 main bolts with a rattle gun(well I can) instead if using the ring spanner

Hey am I'm not saying this to be a smart ass but for your safety also the care of your car. the spot you put the chassis stands was dangerous man they go on the chassis rails not on the side of the car body that spot is only for a car jack changing a flat tyre just letting you know so nobody gets hurt in the future or your car gets damaged

Best solution is buy new nolathane bushes and you don't have to think for another 150000km.Two trail arm bushes is very impotant for quality of ride.I have done this job and I worked three days to finish that job,but i replaced diff, because i have had lost prelod and clunck was present.I have made simular troley for cradle, but i put my stand on last hole hight and rear bumper doesn't have to be removed. It is big job and all new bushes is best option for this job.Cradle has two holes for adjusment, but whell aligments very important to do after this job.Cradle bolts should be lock 125Nm by spec.Front bushes should be press 5 to 7mm more in to prevent diff arm from touching cradle and preventing constant clunck, because shape of nolathane bushes is different than original ford.Front two bushes should be lock 140Nm,but back rear one 200Nm with red thredlock. You are lacky you got different driveshrasft ,beause they are differnt for sedan and turbo.

Haha sika trick I've heard stories but never seen it done.
I'm half way through doing the exact same thing on my fg swapping an lsd cradle in. I was silly enough to buy the 5sp xr6 so I've had an engineering mob modify my diff yoke on the lsd to accept the na 5sp shaft until I decide what to do with the gearbox when it inevitably fails

@@Versatiled bought mine with a new box in it so the cars done 120 the box has 22th on it. Plenty of guys in the us run the 5r55 with some decent numbers just by upgrading the solenoids. Gonna try that road first as the kits are relatively cheap and install is in car.

Wow great job. I have to replace Diff bushes on my territory soon and I’m interested to know just how high the back end needs to go so the subframe can be rolled out from under. And also interested to know how you got it that high. I’m toying with idea of a hi lift off-road Jack maybe mounted under towbar tongue or one on each side near jacking points. Any thoughts?
