(WARNING: Spoilers for Death Note in the replies under this this comment, don’t read the replies If you haven’t watched Death Note). 2006 was arguably the best year in anime history. Death Note, Code Geass, Gintama, Hellsing Ultimate, D-Grey Man, Hitman Reborn, Black Lagoon, Ergo Proxy, Nana, Haruhi Suzumiya, Higurashi, Fate/Stay Night, Paprika. Never seen a year this stacked with good anime. Death Note and Code Geass released in the same year? wow.
Agreed. Its why I feel 2000-2009 is the golden age of anime. All you mention debuted. You also had the big three going strong, clear advancements in animation art, openings and endings were becoming prominent staples in the anime culture, the boom in conventions, and online access to anime becoming common. Not to mention the influence fall out that is spurring this generation of anime to keep the good times rolling.
@SnowflakeSSQ nah, it falls off after L's death and the people whom I recommend it to always say it's a bad anime so I can't even recommend this anime now

I kinda like Digimon over Pokémon, even grew up watching other shows like Yu-Gi-Oh, Megaman NT Warrior, and Inuyasha which I watched in my early teen years
Funny enough, for several years I was part of a group that met every other Monday to have an anime night. Gode Geass was so unbelievably awful that it is what stopped me from showing up. Then a few other people. And eventually killed the anime night.
After my child hoof of Dragon Ball and DBZ, Yuyu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Sailor Moon, it was Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood that brought me back to anime.

I loved Monster from the Start to the very end but for Pluto wasn't the same. I loved the first episodes centered on the robot inspector and his guilt and the parallele between that fictional war in the Middle-East and the actual Irak war. But then the conclusion of Pluto was just OK to me. So I agree for Monster being the best of its years but not for Pluto considering all the other amazing anime that came in 2023.

Sousou no Frieren -Best of 2023 I can't get enough watching Frieren's Adventures & interacting with New People. And I haven't seen an Anime adapted from it's Source Material this well in a Long Time. ❤💁🏿♂️🧝🏼♀️🌹
I started Frieren because it was giving people an existential crisis. It really does make you think back on your life especially watching it as a young adult when I've already let go of most of the people I've known all my life for the first time Honestly I think it one of those series teenagers should really watch to not take the time they have for granted, like on average 90% of the time you spend with your born family is before the age of 18. Think about it that half century after comprises only 10% of the time you'll spend with your parents, siblings, cousins, ect
I love both Sousou no Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries! Both of these anime deserve to be Anime of the Year! The beautiful animation, amazing action scenes, compelling story, and lovable characters! Yeah, I vote both to be Anime of the Year 2023!

I’ve seen my fair share of anime throughout the years. Even though there some that are considered the absolute best ones ever, I prefer my favorites. ❤️❤️❤️
Brynhildr in the Darkness(2014) will FOREVER be the BEST Anime Series for me in 2014 and the future to come for this Cult Hit Horror Ecchi Harem Amine series. Still my favorite anime NO MATTER WHAT. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
My list: 2010 tatami galaxy 2011 steins gate 2012 psycho pass 2013 attack on titan 2014 your lie in april 2015 one punch man 2016 mob psycho 100 2017 made in abyss 2018 violet evergarden 2019 vinland saga 2020 jjk 2021 odd taxi 2022 bochi the rock 2023 frieren
Pre 2010s was pretty spot on. Yeah I would disagree with a couple but as a whole it was pretty much spot on to my opinion too. Post 2010 was more shaky. Eg MHA over Mob Psycho 100
Steins Gate should've won 2011 no question. I like Hunter x Hunter a lot, but they already had an anime before. It really makes no sense to put hxh instead of Steins Gate.
Amazing video watch mojo of the best anime throughout the different years from 2000 to now, fantastic job. Digimon tamers is the first time ever in digimon history that I did not like enjoy or care for maybe the worst season ever to me. I prefer full metal alchemist over brotherhood any day of the week too. What about inuyasha, blue exorcist and gundam seed many great anime too.
My anime timeline Transformers cybertron Inuyasha Pokémon (former) Dragon ball z Kai Transformers armada Big o Power puff girls z (does that count?) Transformers headmasters My hero academia Dragon ball Sailor moon Kaguyasama love is war Married not lovers Candy candy
Code Geass, Death note, Fullmetal Alchamist Brotherhood, Attack On Titan and Vinland Saga is what makes anime respected compared to most anime that have cutsey artsyle with many fanservice that drives most people away and gives anime a bad rep. It's these 5 that have made taken seriously as works of incredibly written fiction
Still one of my favorites iguess as a hidden gem is 2006 Kenichi History's mightiest disciple. And for 2012 were as Jojo is good another was High school DXD. Top 3 anime
I was raised on a weird ad mixture of Dragon Ball, Z, sailor Moon, Pokémon, and many American cartoons, today, as long, as mentioned above, and may be, MAJ, I use abbreviations, because dictation seems to like that better, I’m still a Pokémon fan, Originally Yu-Gi-Oh, although I’m slowly warming up to five days, Zell, seven deadly sins fairytale in Black Clover. That’s my repertoire at the moment, although I do remember watching pieces of rave, master, UU hockey show, and Yasha. What the old three were the only one that seems to interest me at all is bleach, although I may get one piece of shot. Apocalyptic settings aren’t really good for my mental health moment, or I try attack on Titan. Pardon dictation for the errors.
@@emmanuelogunlana877 you think Attack on titan is great writing? really? the cringe emo Eren is good writing? that entire story was absolute shit mate, Season 1 made it awesome, after that it killed itself over and over. @@Real_SkyRipper I do think Attack in Titan writing is great, the ending is a miss for me but it's still awesome for me. You haven't given a reason for the others I listed and just said AOT is shit for no reason, ok buddy. Modern anime is still going strong with some really great stories and visual looking shows. The problem now would be over saturation with like fifty anime coming out and all feeling the same.
Nah, 2023 was definitely One Piece, the level of new fans it garnered, and the gear 5th episodes had more people invested in the series than ever. Im sure Pluto is great, but the numbers speak for themselves. Lol

The High School DxD series is the greatest harem anime series of the 2010s in my opinion.
The original FMA had a better Major Hughes and Nina storyline. Also Lust was more interesting
True
True. They had some interesting only anime characters wich is rare for anime 😮 (just think of Black butler season 2...alios x.x)
IM SO GLAD HAJIME NO IPPO MADE IT!!!! SO FUCKING GOATED
As longtime anime fans from North America, we freaking love it!
I love both Sousou no Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries! Both of these anime deserve to be Anime of the Year! The beautiful animation, amazing action scenes, compelling story, and lovable characters! Yeah, I vote both to be Anime of the Year 2023!
I started Frieren because it was giving people an existential crisis.
It really does make you think back on your life especially watching it as a young adult when I've already let go of most of the people I've known all my life for the first time
Honestly I think it one of those series teenagers should really watch to not take the time they have for granted, like on average 90% of the time you spend with your born family is before the age of 18. Think about it that half century after comprises only 10% of the time you'll spend with your parents, siblings, cousins, ect
2:45 I thank my late great friend Kali for showing me this anime in its entirety 😢😢😢😢 miss you bro
My personal list of the Best anime and rewatchable
Death Note
Full Metal Panic
Attack On Titan

Berserk
My Hero Academia
Bleach
Ju Jutsu Kaisen

YOOO, how did mha and jjk get up there with the other masterpieces.
@@hochhosisko6619 i love MHA
JJK even though i have it on my list i must admit from all of the titles its the weakest. But i like the animation
@@karantinas4462 Fair enough, if we are talking animation+good story and characters, I think Mob Psycho 100 would fit up there better though.
@@hochhosisko6619 Mob Psycho sure is a great series.
Got to agree with you.
2012 = ‘JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure.’
😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Attack On titan had such a STRONG beginning but a WEAK pathetic ending. Killed Eren's character
3:39, 4:36, 6:39, 9:35, 12:45, 14:51, 16:48, 17:51, 18:58, these shows are where true evil lies
2006 gintama
2007 naruto shippuden
2011 steins gate
2014 haikyuu/ your lie in april/ tokyo ghoul
2015 dragon ball super
2018 golden kamuy/ grand blue
these should be the ones
HxH is wayyyyyyyyyyy better than Stein Gate

I’ve seen my fair share of anime throughout the years. Even though there some that are considered the absolute best ones ever, I prefer my favorites. ❤️❤️❤️

@@syntheticreality549 Thanks. 🙂🙂🙂
0:46 A rare template when the year is here in the circle ...maybe it can happen in future videos ... very clever 👏 👌 😀 😄 👍
I'd have to watch Pluto to judge but for me 2023 goes to either Vinland Saga S2 or Jujutsu Kaisen S2
They are not counting sequels. It's anime that started that particular year
Yu yu hakusho, op, stain gate , gintama, hitman reborn Should be on the list 😊
Maybe even Inuyasha.
2018 was the best year for the shear amount of amazing Anime's and 2022 for the sequels 😍
As much as i love JJK Season 2 Pluto was No doubt a Masterpiece.
Hajime no Ippo is god damn gem. Is such a shame not that much people talk about it.
As much as i like Code Geass, I would have to go with Death Note for 2006. It was a close contest though.
I waited 9 goddamn long years, you bet Evangelion takes my pick!
digimon tamers never really tickled my fancy.
my faves are season 1 and 2 and tri.
2003 fma was the best that year was just as good as brotherhood
My list:
2010 tatami galaxy
2011 steins gate
2012 psycho pass
2013 attack on titan
2014 your lie in april
2015 one punch man
2016 mob psycho 100
2017 made in abyss
2018 violet evergarden
2019 vinland saga
2020 jjk
2021 odd taxi
2022 bochi the rock
2023 frieren
Very nice list! I agree with everything besides OPM and JJK.
Great video love this concept ❤
Suprised to see digimon tamers getting some respect
I love how Demon Slayer got beat by Vinland Saga
Yay, seeing Made in Abyss made me happy
Cowboy bebop , tri gun , one piece my all time top three
Pre 2010s was pretty spot on.
Naruto, fmb, berseck, code geass, haikyuu, kaguya sama, blue lock, tensei slime are some of my favourite anime. I like every anime except boruto
I love this channel so much. Top 10. Seventh.
so who cares it add nothing to the conversation to the video
@@_dr.greenthumb_ who cares and you don't need to mention me in your pointless spam
Doesn't matter if you get 7th. It's not a race
TYBW Part 1 was must-watch TV. Bleach fans were eating good
Amazing video watch mojo of the best anime throughout the different years from 2000 to now, fantastic job. Digimon tamers is the first time ever in digimon history that I did not like enjoy or care for maybe the worst season ever to me. I prefer full metal alchemist over brotherhood any day of the week too. What about inuyasha, blue exorcist and gundam seed many great anime too.
I'm an anime lover/fan but how come it's just the 1st time I heard about Mushishi?
Was there ever any doubt with the 2016 spot would be? I mean MHA is literally one of the greatest anime ever made, it’s my personal favorite.
Nah its trash.dumpster fire
Code geass s1 was great s2 was good but the ending was peak
My anime timeline
Transformers cybertron
Inuyasha
Pokémon (former)
Dragon ball z Kai
Transformers armada
Big o
Power puff girls z (does that count?)
Transformers headmasters
My hero academia
Dragon ball
Sailor moon
Kaguyasama love is war
Married not lovers
Candy candy
Code Geass, Death note, Fullmetal Alchamist Brotherhood, Attack On Titan and Vinland Saga is what makes anime respected compared to most anime that have cutsey artsyle with many fanservice that drives most people away and gives anime a bad rep.
It's these 5 that have made taken seriously as works of incredibly written fiction
I was overjoyed when you included Hajime no Ippo but felt disappointed when there is no mention of Haikyu!! and the Blue Lock
Still one of my favorites iguess as a hidden gem is 2006 Kenichi History's mightiest disciple. And for 2012 were as Jojo is good another was High school DXD. Top 3 anime
Hajime no Ippo should’ve been one of the big 3
2016 and 2020 belongs to Re:Zero
Pardon dictation for the errors.
after 2006 it's one hell of a downhill lmao, RIP great writing.
What happened to AOT, Frieren, Fate, Pluto, Cyberpunk Edgerunners etc?
@@emmanuelogunlana877 you think Attack on titan is great writing? really? the cringe emo Eren is good writing? that entire story was absolute shit mate, Season 1 made it awesome, after that it killed itself over and over.
Edgerunners was nice, but not new, cyberpunk was made in the 80's, they just adapted it, same for the videogame.

Hunter x Hunter is the absolute GOAT
For intellectuals only
Bleach redeemed itself big time, it's probably in it's prime now.
Digimon tamers!! Let’s go!
POKEMON and NARUTO (also SHIPPUDEN) were one of my best anime ......
Yu-Gi-Oh Digimon dragon Ball Z those are my favorite
Nah, 2023 was definitely One Piece, the level of new fans it garnered, and the gear 5th episodes had more people invested in the series than ever. Im sure Pluto is great, but the numbers speak for themselves. Lol
Unlucky for death note to be on the same year as code geass
