I’ve watched this documentary multiple times and it makes me cry every time. As a disabled person, it’s so moving to see the walls that were torn down by these incredible activists. I complain about the world being inaccessible in many ways now, but god I’m so blessed there were incredible people like this who paved the way for someone like me. I can’t imagine the barriers in place they had to overcome!
I’ve watched “Crip Camp” at least five times. As an adult, who was born with her disability, I benefitted from all of the hard work that Dennis Billups, Judy Heumann, Pat Figueroa, Corbette O’Toole, Ann Cupola Freeman, and all of the Camp Jened Campers did as adults. You put your collective butts on the line. Thank you.I was mainstreamed in 1977. Jim LeBrecht, Nicole Newnham, Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama, thank you for creating and producing a wonderful historical documentary film.

Was glad to find this additional footage, just watched this outstanding documentary and really didn't want it to end.
This is incredibly moving in itself. I’m glad to see that it’s on RUclips and NETFLIX.

......This Bloods tho
Took over the Country, fight against discrimination and most importantly had Crabs
Still can't believe someone actually thought it was a good idea to call it crip camp lmfaoo
We call each other that. It's an "in" thing among disabled people.
Pretty standard in our community (and many marginalized groups) ... reclaiming the word that once oppressed us
the camp was called camp jened.
Well then you really don't know anything about the modern disabled community, you should read up on the movements like #CripTheVote and cripple punk
are you disabled? this is what disabled ppl refer to themselves as. crips. it's reclaimed.
