No future in Oughterard

Visit the west of Ireland and you will be pleasantly surprised by the stunning beauty of its surroundings. Especially Lake Corrib in Connemara is a real gem. But behind the beauty there is a sad story to tell. This part of Ireland never really profited from the Celtic Tiger and was hit hard by the economic crisis. The story of the Kelly family in Oughterard is what many families go through in this part of Ireland. Oughterard had a great summer in 2019, still getting back on its feet after the carefully EU engineered economic collapse. The title of this video is ridiculous and offensive to the people of Oughterard, one of the finest villages in all Ireland

This sort of comment is just what Oughterard needed. As the old saying goes - If you have nothing good to say, say nothing.
Oughterard is no worse than any other small town in Ireland and a lot better than some.
This country is suffering because of the greed of a few.
Let us all repeat the recent words of the president of the USA, Barack Obama - "Is feidir linn" and look forward to a brighter future. We have endured harder times and survived.
