Thanks for the tips, this is my first trout season, so excited!
But how do we load up our coolers this fall
I love this video thank you
Love the videos. Please keep making them. My wife and I love kayak fishing together (Hobie PA 17t). I wasn't originally a big fan of trolling on it, but at kayak speeds it seems like a waste not to have something in the water as you go from point A to point B. Got a lot of big'uns that way.
Y’all ever in South Carolina? Murrells inlet has awesome inshore fishing
Looks like fun. And that bait scent works great on any lures. I started using Pro-cure scents, a few years ago. It stays on the lures for a long time. Mirror lures are my first choice, world wide.
Good stuff, man! Good to see someone else representing Hampton Roads!
Good video. I like to see all the ST fishing!!we don’t have them up north. One day I’m coming down after them.pow they better watch out for me.Im learnings from you
Any suggestions coming down from NY to launch the kayak try and catch some any areas ?
Rudee, plus first comment. Kayak fishing a plus. Love my Hobie Outback.
Right on!
Nice video. Headed to Sanibel Island, FL in a month and can't wait to bring my Vibe Sea Ghost 130 kayak and get some fishing in the back waters in
Nice work! Specs are one of my favorite fish to put in hot oil!
Nice launch site. Where is this at? Thanks!
Hi, Could you mention in your videos the area in which you are fishing to get an idea of the fishing area? Thank you for your videos.
Well that looked like a bunch-a fun. Nice job.
Shadowlawn 🙌🏼 got slams two days this week. Good to know there’s bigger trout in, mine were babies.
EyeStrike makes that same trout eye jig in a 4/0 long shank. OE has em. Try the Texas eye jigs too, weedless for clanking off oyster beds with no snags!
Love your videos man, super informative, especially for a local seeing local spots. Nice to see Jay too, used to live in the same neighborhood as him.
Right on!
Alright chawl ... alright chawl keep up the good work love the videos especially the recents
Very nice glass on the water
Have you guys tried trolling for specs and puppydrum at roody inlet in the summer? Btw love your vids‼️
Nice fish we have a good trout fishing here in South Florida most people don’t fish for them since our offshore fishing seems to be the common. Your right we get up early and limit out by 10 a.m. most days the best part is like I said most people don’t fish for them down here. So there is plenty over 20 and most are keepers 15 to 20. The only problem I face when I go to my favorite spot is big sharks since it full of all kinds of bait and it’s a no motor zone. So no pressure there lol. One shark big followed me and my friend for like an hour it was freaky lol after he ate a few on our lines it left. Also big tarpon a snook hang in there especially now when the mullet run happens I can’t wait. Well tight lines and I enjoyed your video
What size reels are you using?
I’ve been on the fence about gettin a kayak for a while, after watching this i think I’m gonna have to snag one of them fancy foot peddling ones. They seriously looks fun as crap. Dope video though dude. 🤙🏻
Thank you! I just got into it too and been a blast!
Besides leaving your arms available, your legs about 2x as strong.
How deep of water are you in when trolling for these trout?
Gangsta Loon says "Whatssup wit dat trout Dogg"
Likin the yak fishing man... especially with these stud trout we’ve been haulin in!
Yes sir!! Can't wait to get back out with you
Definitely gonna try this!
Thanks for the tips!
That bird was a cormorant not a loon. "Cormies" are definitely fish and bait stealers. I've never seen nor heard a loon in VA. They have a VERY distinctive cry. The range map says they winter here but I've yet to come across one.
I achieve the same results as your peddle-trolling in my power boat by drifting and casting. I shut off the motor to see what the wind (if any) and tide are going to do then crank up the motor, move to where the conditions will carry me across the fishing ground I want to cover, shut down and drift cast. I'm too old and beat up to go paddling around in kayaks all day, I'd probably have a heart attack. I KNOW I'd need to go "p" long before I could get that 'yak back to a dock where there's a porta-potti. The boat is more comfortable for us old pharts and one way or another I can usually get to fishing about the same place as kayaks can.
Thanks for the 'heads up' on the specs and what you're using for lures. I have about 4-5 new bags of Z-Man and Gulp softs I wanna try this season myself. Last year I was doing pretty good on Z-Man Bleeding Banana and Pearl scented paddlerz, Electric Chicken in both Z-Man Diezel Minnowz and Gulp Jerk Shad and Gulp white swimming mullet. I keep my opened lures in a cleaned out 48oz mayonnaise jar full of Gulp scent so they're always soaking and the container can stay sealed and not leak. Then I give 'em a little shot of Pro-Cure Inshore super gel before I use 'em.
Nice freaking fish guys! Miss yall👊🤙
Come on down let's go fishin!!
@@1fish2fish10 baby pending ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When catching these big fish are you fishing strictly lighting conditions? Or a combination of lighting conditions, tides, and solunar conditions ?
I know this is an older comment but, I like morning bites high tide falling. But to be honest I go whenever I can lol
Jay's my boy!! Great video
Rudee inlet?
Nice trout bro! Looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully we can link up in October and catch some trout and red drum!
Can't wait!!
Will be in Rodanthe, NC kayak fishing the sound the week of September 28th on..targeting speckled trout, flounder, reds...
The feds just closed the flounder season in NC until next august. Can't legally keep any. We are all mad about it. If they end up letting the netters in,it will be a slap in the face to rec fishermen and will make criminals out of many.
Wow. Thank you Paul for this news. It definitely does not seem like a fair ruling to me. The common guy/gal fishing in the sound or ocean is not going to have a significant impact on the populations like the commercial netters clearly do. The government needs to use more common sense in these rulings in the future in my opinion.
Great video!
Good job Jeff! Looks like Dorian blew in some big ol trout. We are heading out there on Saturday morning. What was the tide doing when the bite turned on?
Try the redfish eye, it’s basically a trout eye just a longer shank hook
That's awesome how you know Jay! We used to train at the same gym back in the day. I never knew he was in to fishing, let alone yak fishin'! Tight lines!
So cool!
Nice fish....
You guys deserve more subscribers for the BANGER vids you make!!!! Keep up the good work and you'll get to 100,000 in no time.
Thank you so much!!
@@1fish2fish10 thank you so much for responding, do you guys ever plan on going triple tail fishing?
@@subway5157 I'm sure soon! I would be interested to do it!
What size/style Hobie is that? Thanks for all the great videos.
NICE!
What size rods do you use trolling like that? Medium light? Or a little bigger?
@6:55 cormorant, not loon.
is down in virginia beach are or are you down in the Carolinas?
Great video. How does your buddy like the Old Town Topwater kayak? Thinking about getting a peddle kayak next Spring
He's all about it!
#MilesAwayFishing
Trying to get on the water with y’all!
love from VB
Right back at ya
What kind of kayak are you using ?
Purple demon is my favorite and Smokey shad
Which Mirrorlure are you using or did I miss that info?
It's linked of the description of the vid - slow sinking twitch
What rod is that ? Falcon?
What beach are you at??
Nice net looks like lacrose net
Watched this went out the next day and after 4 days of getting skunked caught a 23 inch Spec 😅😅 🤷🏽♂️
AlrightCHALL
I caught much more fish from a kayak by troling than casting. I just don't like treble hooks, so I use soft plastics
Who we nice, well I guess I got to buy a trailer to drag to boat ramp as it will be impossible to get a kayak parking spot, there are only about 12to 15 spots available for non trailer vehicles. Had to turn around and drive back home an hour drive to many times. The aquarium guard said they are going to start towing fisherman cars parked in there lot. Nice to know they are biting. Hope I cam get on some.
Love the idea. I might just start towing a trailer, with my canoe on my roof, just to get a parking spot, and a much better parking spot too!
What rod is that with the Florida reel ??
Falcon Coastal Clearwater - amazing
He in Virginia?
Man I've been getting skunked every time I go our lately any tips?
In your opinion r the better tasting then weak fish
You mean grey trout? If so then yes.
