- Watch the Coonoor Bus stand and bus journey by TNSTC bus from Coonoor to Ooty. Beautiful roads and beautiful ghat. The Coonoor Railway station is 5 mins walking distance from the Coonoor bus stand. There are regular buses that go to Ooty. We got down at Botanical garden as we didn't get to visit that place. TNSTC bus driving and racing against private bus and almost collided with a car on the ghat that was wrongly parked.

Can't forget ooty, Kodaikanal, Coimbatore, Mettupalayam, Pollachi, Sathyamangalam and many places in TN they're quite fantastic . Especially riding in these govt and private busses of Tamilnadu with music's playing.

We did Coimbatore to Ooty by OLA at night in the wet. Watching this makes me even more grateful to our driver.

I have travelled in Himalayas by bus - Jammu to Srinagar, Dehradun to Mussoorie, Siliguri to Gangtok, and Dehradun to Chakrata several times to perform my duties. This video reminds me my journeys to Mussoorie.

Oh is it. Sure will try next time. The thing is if I record the driver or on his steering wheel he becomes a bit conscious and I dnt what that especially when on curved roads.

I have ridden in this route by bike countless no of times from madurai and coimbatore... our favourite stoppage is the indian bakery near coonoor bus stand... and the one near kattery park... i miss those mouth watering coconut balls, coconut cookies, biscuits and sponge cake from indian bakery and national bakery... i also miss my fnd manoj who was there those times...
We'll try those places next time we visit. Also do u know the name of the ghat from Ooty to Coimbatore by bus it's starts with letter B but I forgot the actual name.

If anyone visit ooty once im dam sure this place will make u mad and ul get addicted to visit again and again,, it was my experience so now i am planning to buy house and settle in ooty..

Dear Ash2travel - you can easily identify Government buses in Tamilnadu by looking at alphabet “N” on their number/registration plates.
Example: TN 41 N 1134
Where
TN = Tamil Nadu state
41 (or XX ) = RTO code
“N” = Nationalized (meaning Govt./Public)
1234 = registration number

I have not seen Ooty till now. But it gives the feeling that i also travelled along with you. I want a full route from Coimbatore to Ooty if possible in parts and also other hill stations. Thank You.

Having frequented this route 50 years ago, I am appalled to see how ugly and crowded both Coonoor and Ooty have become.

its ghat road, cant really expect it to drive fast. I mean we were going to overtake the TNSTC ahead of us but then it halted for pickup.

Brother these lapses do happen sometime. You think you have enough space to go through and then u realise u dnt. It was the cars fault as well. The bus driver didn't drive rashly anytime later if u observe
