Turns out the usb c board with the sim card slot is what needs to be replaced. This video will help. The board is removed at the 34 minute mark. ruclips.net/video/Xwz4ILXMMpA/видео.htmlsi=0JLQMDFACmWKNbab
Here's the part you need amzn.to/3UQHf4O
So did anything ever work? Because I just got my Sim and USB c board replaced but it didn't work and now I ordered the antenna to have that replaced.. but I'm I throwing money away or was your issue resolved? 😢
I am sitting at my desk, literally JUST replaced the USB-C / sim board for my S22 Ultra and... it's still not working. I'm ordering replacement antennas now to see if that will solve the issue. Fingers crossed it'll work because it's still much cheaper than buying a new phone. Will update in a week when the parts come in.
@@Sneezus420 if still not working, might be software or possibly the sim card itself.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I'm willing to bet it's not the SIM, as I've had sim card issues on a Samsung phone and it will prompt you to check your sim if it's happening. When I lose signal I still see the cards data populated in my settings. I will try to swap it out if the antenna replacement doesn't help either. FYI my phone is completely up to date on public branch updates.
@@Sneezus420 hope you're able to figure it out.
I had the same issue with my S23 Ultra. Found this video which led me to get a new USB c board. I ordered one from a place called etech for $10 bucks. Took the phone apart and it had a broken connector on the USBC board that connected to the antenna. Put the new cheap board in and it works like new again. Just want to say thanks to everyone that led me to the usb c board. That was the problem
Awesome!
I had the same issues with my s22 ultra and changed the charging usbC board. The phone network started working perfectly. All thanks to this video 👏
Awesome!
The usb and antennas are what I replaced. Now I get a signal everywere thank you so mouch for you video
Awesome!
Hey guys i try changing the charging port board and it worked for me, i read in some forums that it worked for some users so i ordered one on ebay just swapped it in and it works like normal
Fixed the signal issue? :O
@@ItsBinhRepaired yes it did, am getting full signal (all the bars) no drops since and the data works fine also no slow connectivity, am still shocked at how easy the fix was
@@dienescoutain damn! I filed an insurance claim to get a replacement phone, which cost over $100...I was thinking it was a bad software issue. :(
@@ItsBinhRepaired dam sorry to hear and it only costs $14.
@@dienescoutain yeah :(
Hey Guys, I can confirm that changing the sub board (sim card board) and antenna band fixed the issue for me. So if you guys having this issue on s22 ultra never hurt to try buying those two items. I got mine on ebay for cheap.
@@MrTripplex95 awesome!
Thank you, this helped me out of a bind
@@jeffcraft4479 glad it helped. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others and commenting to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
Thanks, I replace it and it works better than before, but the signal still little poor, but better than before ❤🎉
Awesome! Did you try replacing the usb c board as well?
Where can I buy that bottle that you have the alcohol in? Nice video!
I actually just reused old printer ink refill bottles. You can use something like this amzn.to/4duFjGl
@@ItsBinhRepaired ok thanks
If you have the connection issue, try the usb c board. That is what appears to be the issue.
I have no antennas But still have 5g, i didnt have issues until i dropped my phone after that it didnt seem to work as before, i have network issues and no signal, what should i do?
Try replacing the usb c board.
Hey I just saw this video and i think I've the same issue with my s23ultra. The signal bars always fluctuates and only occassionally stabilizes, which is also causing a huge battery drain. So, do you think mine can also be an antenna issue? And what's up with people replacing the USB c port.
It seems it's more commonly the usb c board. I recommend replacing that one before trying the antennas. I'm not sure if the S23 Ultra is designed the same way though.
I just replaced the USB c board on my S23 ultra for the same bad signal problem. There was a broken connector on the board I removed and once the new one was installed, it works like new again
Hi im not sure, but i opened up my s23 ultra and had none of the 2 antennas.
Its still 5g.
But eversince my screen replacement, my gps hasnt been working. Any Idea?
Hmmm that's likely a different antenna. Who replaced the screen? I'd go back to them and ask them to fix it.
Hello, I follow you on RUclips and you do a very good job.. I would really like you to give me an answer, is it possible to isolate the 5g cable, do I permanently block 5g either in hardware from the mobile? to be sure that 5g will never work? is there a way?
I'd just disable it from software. Are you worried about the radiation?
@@ItsBinhRepaired i need disable for hardware is impossible?
@@jiepp not sure. Try disconnecting the antennas
My phone auto updated to One Ui version 6.1 and now i have no service when i leave home. It worked fine the day before the update and now i just have no service when im off of wifi. On forums i see people saying its the internal antennaes. Would changing the usb c board fix thisbor would replacing the antennas be best. Im ready to just break it and do insurance claim for another one.
Most likely he usb c board.
@ItsBinhRepaired I ordered a replacement for the usb c board and once I replace it, I I'll post an update.
@@krayzie5968 sounds good!
@ItsBinhRepaired I replaced the usb c board and it fixed my connection with the mobile network. So anyone else having this issue definitely swap out the usb c board.
@@krayzie5968 yup!
How much do people usually charge for this replacement service?
No idea. Likely $80+
@@ItsBinhRepairedtheyre tryna charge me 260 at ubreakifix T_T
Hey can u try replacing the pba board I heard that's the fix waiting to try it
What's that?
Looks like that's working for a lot of people, replacing the usb c board.
I have a question, my phone (samsung galaxy A53) have a problem with connection as well. Well my old phone (note 10 lite) has no issue with the connection for example at my house, my old phone can connect and has no problem surfing the internet, but its the opposite for my new phone. Does that mean my usb c board is the problem ?
@@TheAnibox possibly, but not sure
is it possible to replace the 128gb storage chip and upgrade to the 1tb for example?
Nope
I have a S22 Ultra with no 5g. Data Network Type says EDGE. I found the 5G antenna didn't even have the connector. I replaced it like you do in this video. But I still have the problem. I've already replaced the USB C board and main flex cable. Any other ideas for phone and text working but only EDGE data on physical SIM and no recognition of eSIM?
@@BeverlyNimke very strange. No clue if you changed those two already
Should I just do an insurance claim and get a different phone? The back of my s22 ultra is shattered (has been for a long time before the stupid connectivity issues started). It just seems like not knowing whether it's the usb issue or antenna issue can be annoying and time consuming.
Seems to be most likely the usb issue. You can get a replacement back cover as well.
S22 ultra here
Issue: exceedingly spotty network connection after latest update.
Spoke to a Verizon corporate store salesman and he said it was because my back glass had cosmetic damage. So I went ahead and performed this replacement of the antenna and replaced the rear glass. Still no fix.
Took my phone to a different Verizon store only to have an 18 year old look at my phone in disgust before proclaiming my phone "too old"...
DAFUQ is going on.
I need a fix asap I use this phone for business
Replace the usb c board. Did you see the pinned comment?
@ItsBinhRepaired oh! Thank you. Will order it and be back if it worked
@ItsBinhRepaired ok I replaced usb c board as instructed. Used the linked video as a reference (I am autistic so dam near memorized the procedure after 30 seconds of watching. The replacement took me a solid 3ish minutes) and unfortunately the s22 ultra is operating the same...
@@JUGGERNAUT____ D: only thing left to try is esim
@ItsBinhRepaired unfortunately that's the first thing I tried. Got Verizon corporate to do an esim.
They are super weird and out of pattern the second you mention this issue. They various Verizon explanations include:
-The 2.5 yr old phone is too old and obsolete
-The rear glass has a cosmetic crack and therefore the cause of antenna damage
-too much grit in the sim slot
This only happened after the latest update... I don't want to lose all my data and the phone is still good what am I supposed to do?
My s22 ultra does read the sim and shows the signal but if i try to actually use internet i get either no internet connection or super low speed. Sometimes it also could work fine for few seconds.. can this antenna cable replacement fix my problem or not?
@@offertedroni552 just internet? What about calls and texts?
@@ItsBinhRepaired yep, calls and texts do work fine.. the internet connection has some spikes from 0.01 Mbps to 4 while with the same sims on other phones the speed is stable over 50 Mbps
I didn't change the antenna flex cable and only the usb c board with sim card slot and my phone is working good as new thanks for the help :)
Yup, sounds like this appears to be the cause!
Hey Bro, After I dropped my phone and its screen was broken, I bought a new screen. Everything works except the GPS, which started acting like it was drunk. Is it possible to buy a part online and what does it look like?
@merofichtopitrutio9182 I'm not sure which that is. You might need to watch a jerry rigs everything video.
Tried replacing the usb c board for ours and it didnt work. Might try the antenna but considering swapping her phone to Google since samsung is NOTORIOUS for doing this every two years to force people to upgrade
@@taylorhuddlestun7239 I've only had this issue on this phone.
SM-S980U1 American or Canadian version?
American
Im having a issue with data as well. When connected to wifi it has a single bar, sometimes out in town it will get service for a minute but go back to a circle with the line through it.
Will try replacing the board first to see if thay works
Message me if it works.
If it works, I'll have mine fixed too.
Replace the usb c board
Can you make a video about what will happen if you do a Verizon 5G Speed Test without the 5G Antenna installed on your phone?
No. I don't even have Verizon.
@@ItsBinhRepaired Do you have other network like T-Mobile or AT&T?
@@Lecon128 tmobile, but I'm not going to experiment with the phone like that because it breaks the waterproofing seal.
Nice nails!!😉👍
Thanks, they're very useful.
I knew it!!! I was wondering if you had them that long because they helped w dissasembling! ❤
@@ivonnemaciasBrady yup!
@ivonnemaciasBrady some people think they magically stop growing to that length if you stop cutting them apparently, thinking I need s fingernail cutter, but I have one in my pocket at all times on my keychain. Lol
Are there seperate antennas for 3G,4G, and 5G?
Most likely. The one that's been failing is actually built into theusb c port board.
Hi I have i issues my phone s22 ultra no sim no service.. Even I put esim still no service.. And sometimetime that annoying message 'check sim card tray and bla bla' is pop up.. Especially when I playing a game with casing on.. What you recommend to change.. Board USB c or anthena tqq
Try the usb c board
@@ItsBinhRepaired do you think it is better if I change both board USB c and athenna because I curious why esim not work too
Most people change the usb c board and it works.
I used esim and it still had issues until the usb c board
@ItsBinhRepaired how to glue it back, and what glue or things do I need to use?
If you did it the way I did, after the alcohol dries it'll go on easily.
My s22u has weak signal problems..it’s only work at 5g area
Try changing the usb c board
Try to replace s908 antenna flex cable
@@rientz90 what's that?
Awesome!!!
: )
I gotz e sim and its still doing no service problem
Yeah, that won't fix it. There are antennas in the usb c board

For the love of God clip your fingernails
What's with all the little boys that are so concerned with the length of my fingernails? Do you tell all the girls with long nails to cut theirs too, or do you have some sort of guys with short nails fetish? Either way, I'm not into changing my appearance for your viewing pleasure. I'm not going to cut useful tools off my fingers just because it makes you confused about your sexuality or something. You might want to talk to your therapist about why someone else's nails bothers you so much.
