Love this set, really want to see Bam Bam, Steamboat, Santana, Hacksaw and Muroco in this line!
You can probably do a Muraco and Santana in one set.
Mannn I wanna be a MOC collector of these but space is real limited. This review has inspired me to let them breathe... I think I'd do the tongue just sticking out.

I let them breathe, with very few exceptions. I have a few in boxes like The Rock with the brahma bull belt, that one looks great in the package, plus I don't have any room on my shelf for multiple versions of the same character. I even throw the boxes away like a young Kyle, except for the ultimate editions, I keep those boxes.
This was a day one purchase for me. I also picked up a superstars edition of Piper from Walmart…just to get the red trim shirt!
I definitely had to get this set, believe it or not mostly bc George the animal. Hes such a nostalgia figure for me, he was one of the first figures i ever got when i was a young kyle lol 😂 awesome reviews keep up the grind per usual

Piper is in my top 5 favorite wrestlers of all time. I want this, but i may wait like another subscriber said. Piper and JYD were my first 2 LJN figures. A Race/JYD 2 pack would be great. 2 gripping hands on George so he can hold a microphone and cut a very in depth promo.
I made a set of bagpipes for my CUE Roddy Piper out of some flannel material and some carved wooden dowels
Like a young Kyle, I ordered this and within days it came in.
All I had was a used basic Piper and never owned a George Steel. These figures are awesome, but I’m a little bummed that there is a possible repaint coming. I’m not one to buy multiple versions of the same figure.
It’s a great combo set, and it’s awesome to have Piper & Steel in the collection.
I got mine just in time for Christmas, great figures love them both

Had both LJN's as a kid. I want these but I am definitely tempted to wait until the end of next year and see if Mattel does a big BOGO sale on these like they did this year. The RUDE/ROBERTS, HOGAN/FUNK, MUHAMMAD ALI 2 packs were all on sale during Black Friday . I would love two of these, so I'm quite tempted to play the long game.
Been waiting for this one for years and it looks like i might have to wait a few more. I really want this one but idk anything about steele.
Yeah if they were going to do the shirt like that and they are going to release a repaint then…we should have got red trunks and knee pads just to be different.

Agree Kyle we should of seen the red rings on the shirt or red trunks so they can release his traditional look of shirt & blue trunks in the legends UE with bag pipes.

My very minor gripe is that there's no red on Piper's HotRod shirt. They put it on George Steele's shirt but not Piper's. Makes no sense. Also, I would have loved it if they gave us the Panther shirt too with this Piper figure. Nevertheless, it's 2 great figures for my old school collection.
The Panther shirt would have made more sense for this era but I guess it’s a weird LJN thing.

Awesome review. The figures look really cool. It's disappointing about Pipers shirt. Though I guess if you have a red sharpie and a steady hand, you can fix it.
Especially seeing how they did George Steele's shirt with the red borders. Makes no sense.
This is cool, but I think I'm gonna pass (as of right now) on this. George "The Animal" Steel would be a cool edition to my collection. There are two Pipers I reallywant in my collection. I would love to see a WrestleMania XII Piper when he fought Goldust in the Hollywood backlot brawl. I would also like to see WrestleMania IV Piper when he sprayed Morton Downey Jr with a fire extinguisher. Hell, I would love to see a Ringside exclusive Morton Downey Jr from WrestleMania IV for the collectors. Piper has a lot of looks and moments we could capture in figure form.
The picture on the packaging and cardback both show the red trim on Piper’s shirt, so it is a bit disappointing the figure shirt is not accurate to their own package rendering of Hot Rod!
Hope they make an ultimate edition ljn ring.
I'm not sure if the rotated kilt pattern was accurate to real life, but the LJN had it vertically oriented.

Another issue with the accuracy from the Mattel to the LJN is with the George Steele. For some reason he had red knew pads on in the LJN and the Mattel one he doesn't. Which I don't think he wore knee pads on the outside of his rights if he wore them at all.

My belly on animal...has almost no hair on both sides of lower tummy,I think they over did yours.
