Hi, Just watched both of your black mountains videos as am planning a trip there. Haha quite sad that it was too cloudy an not many views visible in both of them haha, but loved them otherwise, the camping spot next to the waterfall in the first one looked amazing, I love camping next to rushing water. Also nice to see a little bit of the woods at the beginning of this one, as I will probably be aiming for the woods myself when I go there.
Nice approach in Ian. The bothy was a little tight but it got it warmed up for a good gathering. I cleaned that bothy up once with my brother and a friend. Still going strong it appears or was it in a mess? Any way, I'm a big fan of the area. No doubt you'll return one day. All the best. Mark
I'm trying to decide between the 2 tents you guys have! I saw your Ordos video (thanks for posting, there's so little out there about it) how has it been in proper British conditions, particularly wind? And compared to the Hubba Hubba? I've been lost in a world of tent research but finally narrowed it down to these or the vango f10 xenon ul2. Cheers!
dbruce581 hi, the more I’ve used the Ordos 2 the more confidence I have in it. It’s been great in high wind for such lightweight material. The MSR is slightly heavier but does have more room inside with an extra porch area. Can’t go wrong with either....
Enjoyed this short film Ian, many people upload films which are far too long, you got it about right. 5 people in the bothy, sounds like HELL to me! I’d never contemplate staying in a Bothy or Hostel always preferring my trusty tent. Can’t stand JBP really. Cheers. ⛺️🏕🏔👍
My back yard Mike. Cleaned this one up once. Being a Southern Bothy it kind of got neglected. Might be different now. You sure would prefer your tent I reckon....great area this though. Take care. Mark
