- On 9 December 2021 a circle of CIMA of PA donors assembled in the church sanctuary of St Mary's Hamilton Village for an intimate "Candle Concert" with noted Electronic Musician and series founder Chuck van Zyl.
Following prescribed Health and Safety Protocols, for well over an hour attendees witnessed a live improvised Spacemusic recital involving a range of references and techniques. Energized equally by the pulse of the Berlin-School and the hope of the New Age, the remarkable setting and welcoming audience brought out a substantial, expressive and meaningful concert performance.
"The Gatherings 9 December 2021" received its RUclips Premiere on 26 March 2022.
Audio of this event has been produced into a concert album to benefit The Gatherings Concert Series - the release of which coincided with the online Premiere of the 9 December 2021 full concert video.

My penfriend Peter Grygorcewicz (RIP) and his brother Paul introduced me to your music back in the late eighties through tapes of Philadelphia performances and some time later I was mesmorized by your "Relic" album. Your music definitely a sound of it's own! Since the early dats of Tangerine Dream's debut of "Phaedra" I am a great fan of music with sequencers and very much appreciate you sharing a full video performance for all us fans who live too far away to see you. If I could dream up a fantasy collaboration of all my favourite musical artists in one supergroup I would definitely team you up with Steve Roach, Jonn Serrie, Michael Stearns and Robert Rich and Lisa Bella Donna.. or a collaboration with Thorsten Quaeschning/Tangerine Dream will do..!

Pues bien, en el año 2021, en Chile mi país, ocurrió este fenómeno estelar, el cual lo observé en su plenitud, escuchando su magnífica obra electrónica. Great set as usual, Chuck. You have quite a setup. How long does it take you to set up, tune up, and run a sound check before a performance?

@@ChuckvanZyl Thanks for the quick response. I worked on some complex communication and navigational equipment on shore and aboard ships both in the Navy and as a civilian employee of the Navy. That’s what piqued my interest in your setup routine.

@@ChuckvanZyl One of the things that made me curious is that I’ve been to enough of your shows to notice that the setup seems a little different for each performance. I loved the show you did at The Rotunda where you setup on the floor instead of on stage and the audience was sitting right there with you.
