fantastic job buddy . After so many years there is growing interest in this lure making process I believe. Please let me know what kind of paints you are using with the air brush ?!
Awesome work👍🏻 What epoxi you use (curing time not the brand) and how do you clean brush from epoxi? Can balls inside the lure rattle it looks to me that they are realy tight fitted?
JOBAHT I used 15 min epoxy that has a 5 min work time, they do rattle just not as loud as they can with more space it's more of a low knock, and you can use epoxy solvent to clean your brush but I buy horse hair flux brushes, you can get them online. Thanks for watching
Hey friend realy nice work i have one question to you i realy like your carving knife do you have any idea where to buy this knife or something similar?
awesome stuff, what size is the stainless steel wire you are using. looked pretty soft the way you were using it. Also, on the other video, what is the stuff you used in addition to the aluminium tape? Thanks
the wire is 0.041" T-304 stainless steel wire, it is a bit soft however I've never had a problem with it I've had sharks on some lures with out any sort of damage to the wire form, the other stuff along with the aluminium tape is an adhesive, I use contact cement and the hologram doesn't really have a name I got it at a hobby store it's used to make streamers for party balloons. it comes in tubes similar to aluminum foil.
+FishingInstinctsSRQ another question, without the ballbearing or lead, would the bait sit flat in the water or would it lean to one side? a problem i'm experiencing at the moment, including in one situation where I've got a few ball bearings and still the lure leans slightly to one side even with the big treble on. Thanks to your advice. Love the work and will give the soft stainless wire a go.
Tsewang Bhotia What could be happening is that the weight placement could be laying directly on the axis of the lure which would cause it to lean to one side, now if your making wooden lures like myself you have to remember that different types of wood not only float better but also act a weight system ,meaning that if the shape of the lure isn't symmetric and there is too much wood on one side and not enough weight as the balance it will cause it to belly up . softer woods will cause this harder woods wont really have this issue .. draw out a plan for an new lure but draw a 2''x6'' box then mark the middle on both axis , draw the lure there and if your weight placement is bellow the 1''mark it will lay perfectly , if the weight it in front or in back of the 3'' line it will leant face down or tail down. the only shapes of lures that don't need any weight and will float with just the treble as the leading weight are fusiform lures or top water poppers.
+Tsewang Bhotia it's mostly repurposed wood, I do prefer to use poppler or bass wood for it's ease of use but if been recently working with bird eye and it's amazing
nice vid dude! how did you make that surface detail on an aluminium foil (parallel stripes)? and also could you heat up the epoxy a little and then airbrush it?
asukaj if you are talking about the cross hatching it was done with the knife at an angle, you can heat up the epoxy a but but the problem is that you would need 18 hour epoxy other wise the heat would make it harden instantly if it goes over a certain temp, if you are to successfully heat it up to a good consistency the other problem would be that the air brush would quickly bring the temp down possibly clogging the air brush before you can finish , there are two part top coats that you can use the an air brush and I think you can get them on amazon.
I've had other BPM baits ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
Youve earned your sub with part 1 and 2 videos. You should show yourself fishing with your lures after you've completed them. Id like to see how they act in teh water.
Natural Selection they are jewelry pliers or bail makers, that one is made by beadalon company you can get them fork any craft store and thanks for watching.
Anthony you could and it would be better but personally there is more of a satisfaction when I go fishing and use a lure that I made thanks for watching.
It's a beautiful thing that you're doing. Do they ever leak water in? I bought a fake Luckycraft flash minnow 110 and it took water in. Never again. I'll just buy the real thing.
to do that you need the aluminum duct tape, rubber cement and holographic paper, once you have cut the tape to size cover it in a thin even layer of rubber cement, place the back side of the holographic paper and smooth it out, wait 20-30 second then begin removing it from either end, you can make different patterns in you wish but that's the process.
ชวาล ปุริสพันธุ์ sorry, but I am unable to understand what you said. I speak English and Spanish, I would like to answer your question but unfortunately I cannot translate.
The lure is very beautiful, senior, thank you for the knowledge, it is very useful for us
I love how shiny and iridescent it is. Looks like a real fish! 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
