Do they still allow flying at Packsaddle? Can t find much info on it.. I'm a colorado pilot and thinking about bringing a wing down around xmas time when visiting Austin area..
Colorado Mike, unfortunately not. Pack changed ownership several years ago, and the new owners haven’t allowed flying there since. Towing is about the only option in Central Texas now.
@@rrcroman Hey, thanks for the info.. i was guessing something like that must've happened bc there aren't any recent Pack video online. Bummer! I don't know if I could handle not having a nice ridge soaring spot nearby living down there! Haven't towed yet, but might do that here in the next couple weeks. Thanks again!
