Thank you for the tips and advise, been watching and learning over the past weeks, just set up my truck with a pressure washing and soft wash system, think I'll keep my feet on the ground for the first year and start doing roofs after a little more experience, I'm only a few weeks into the business, thanks for the time and help.
@Marlon Jackson man I was going to hop in and put 20k into it off the jump but I'm not sure if I should even do this business anymore seems like a lot of ppl are gonna jump into it. Seems like it's going to be hard to get any customers since there's gonna be so much competitors. I don't know man, if I hop into it with nice stuff and do a van build would definitely need to rap it and get a really nice web site and branding going to make me look professional.
I follow your videos like I'm Columbo looking for clues at the scene of the crime!!! And THIS video is a prime example of why!!! Cody.....YOU DUH MAN!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely lovely! Great Great video with wonderful information!! Getting our guys to become experts and spotting these potential hazards has been a real chore. And you are correct, it's easy work, but very difficult protecting yourself against potential damages and hence, loss in revenue and ratings. It is a struggle.
Excellent video and great information, for a refresher and for beginners alike, especially on that expensive front door, some guys I think try And set people up for failure on stained entry doors and stained porch ceilings telling guys that they're just spraying down with a house mix down streaming mix and letting it dwell like the same amount of time as the siding and whatever else kinda crude.. could make a person lose Alot of money before they even get started, shit you know what I mean
Tremendous video Koty lots of of good common prior preventable common sense easily made mistakes. Remember the five p p p p p s prior prevention prevents poor performance.👍😉
I've got a Northern Tool 12v 5.5 gpm pump and I don't think it'll shoot 40 feet up in the air. Have you done any kind of performance testing with the NT pump vs. Everflo? Your other video where you're at that old church, I was amazed that you(or your dad) were reaching the peak of the roof from the ground. I'm quite sure my NT pump couldn't do that...And I don't have any air leaks, etc. And I've got the same type wand setup that you do. I'd really like your feedback. Thanks for your time.
Excellent video guys, I will keep those things in mind. How far did you stand when you blast that left-hand side of the house/high side. Do you have a video of the different mix ratios for patio and roof for a house that is not so dirty??. Thanks in advance guys
How do you control your percentage of SH? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but do you have a special type of valve? Is it on the pressure washer itself? Again, sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’ve never pressure washed but I’ve been watching your videos and looking to do it on the side.
Me personally, my backpack blower would be taken everytime to blow off the driveway prior and also possibly help with blowing off puddles afterwards. I've also wondered about upselling the job by using a stick edger like I use for landscaping, and edging the driveway prior to washing. This way when it dries, that driveway and lawn really look crisp and gives that runoff extra space to runoff.
Do you wash windows and clean gutters as well? Or just soft wash and pressure wash? Just curious about how many services I should be offering...Great content as usual man! You’re blowing up!
One thing I cant seem to find a clear answer for is factory color stained cedar shingle siding. Can you put SH to it? This stuff is so popular in my area and the only thing I find online is for regular non color stained cedar shake. Anyone have any clear answers for me?
Hey man. I saw a video of a guy mixing concentrated pool shock powder (which was very cheap compared to liquid chlorine) to make his solution. Have you heard of that? Seems like I'd save a lot of money before doin my house
Have to go stronger. Most people do 5% some do 6%. I did a roof 5% mix and had to spray the roof twice and had to treat some spots a few more times. It was really dirty
Had a house with 2 of them... I rinsed them prior to any sh. And the 2nd I finished spraying sh I went right back to washing them regardless. I was at 1% max tho.
@@featheredcoyote5477 if it hot out you will see it wilt right in front of your eyes with plastic! I did it once! Never again! N I used a blue Costco tarp! Tyvec breaths do the plant doesn’t cook! Good luck

I usually blow off roofs, porches, and driveways before before washing. Not sure if it’s necessary but makes it a little easier for me when cleaning
This is priceless advice! Also, your neighborhood is super beautiful with all those trees!
Looking back on this video! Made me look like a pro from the jump with the customer on my first house wash!!! Thanks Coty!!
@Marlon Jackson how is it going?
@Marlon Jackson thanks man

Really helpful and straight forward to the point...
Quality content. It’s “easy” work but that doesn’t mean it’s simple.
That's a really good way of putting it. it's easy when it's going well.

EXCELLENT VIDEO !!! 👍
Nice video. Do you have a link to the fella that had to repaint a customer's house?
Very true, great work
What's the name of the video you talk about at the end where you mention repainting a house?
Very helpful, thanks
Ole "raggely" bush grandma gave me.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video!
always appreciate your explanations. I have 300' of softwash hose. Do you think that's too long?... losing any pressure/distance? 12V 5gpm delevan
Thanks Coty! What percent sh mix for driveway treating do you use?
America Scout usually around 3%
Southeast Softwash thank you very much !
Great video. Great info 👍 keep it up.
What kind of tape do you use? Can I use plastic bags with tape?
What do you think about covering plants around the house with light weight plastic?
Thank you for the advice!
I appreciate the video
i think your right on target
and I am a newb at this... everything makes sense and common at that . pay attention to detail
Do u use the house owners water or do u bring your own water ? Just curious

If a house is oxidizing, do you use the same mixture as you would to a house that’s not?
Thanks Coty. Very good tips to know!
Jaworrah Lawrence getting close to your pickup day!
Southeast Softwash is it next Friday, or the following Friday?
Jaworrah Lawrence I’ll have to look on the board tomorrow.
Southeast Softwash ok cool. In the mean time go get some sleep. 😆
Do you blow the loose debris off the driveway before cleaning?

I've also wondered about upselling the job by using a stick edger like I use for landscaping, and edging the driveway prior to washing. This way when it dries, that driveway and lawn really look crisp and gives that runoff extra space to runoff.

How do I get rid of air leaks in my hose?
Great video. I love your idea to pretreat the driveway first, then roof. Great time saver as well if imagine?
Yep. Maximize the dwell time
@@southeastsoftwash4020 great to know! Efficiency is everything to me so whatever I can do to improve! Thank you Coty!
Great video. Thank you!
Do you send your "pre-wash" eam pics to the customer or are those for just in case they say you damaged something?
We do this process slightly differently now.
QuoteIQ in the App Store handles all of this seamlessly during the quoting process
Did y’all wrap the door?
would jobs do you still do even if its raining?
I will like to know if the pool essentials pool shock from Walmart and gain detergent would it be a good mix for house wash?
Which 12v pump you use
What do you pretreat with? Degreaser? SH? Chlorine?
Great video 👍 if possible can you put up the link of Bobby’s RUclips channel about the $8,000 damage that was done to the house. Thanks

What percent would you us for drive ways/concrete?
What side is better for the Smart blend pro? 12V or 24V ?
Either one. Works the same

K. P. We do it all
What type of tape do you prefer to use when taping off those hazard items?
Shur tape. Home Depot
You had said about 1-1.5 % mix. Did that mean a 12% bleach through a downstream injector at about a 10% portion, so that would make about a 1.2 % mix?
Jared Erhardt we don’t downstream. 12volt softwash application.
Wait what maybe I heard this wrong but do y’all charge less for roof cleaning than you do house washing?
John Lange naw, this one just had a few very small areas
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
What do you tell the customer if they have oxidation on vinyl siding
since restaining does NOT necessarily fix a door. it would be easier to tape that 1800.00 door setup and hand clean it if needed.
that estimate price is from 2000 at todays inflation probably 3800.00 UN stained. sorry love your video's

That’s gonna be calcium hypochlorite which works but leaves a very visible residue.
It’s easier to just use liquid SH
Recently had a roof still have streaks after 2 coats @ 4% did everything like I was supposed to. Any ideas ?

1% bleach to how many gallons of water?
What tape do you use to cover?
Igor V. Shur tape
Southeast Softwash what model number shur tape?
Greqt video. How do can I figure out the percentage of sh? You did mention 1.5%. We are using 12% pool bleach
1,5 \ 12 = 0,125 then for example 5gal of producut put 5gal x 0,125 = 0,625 gal of 12% pool bleach and 4,375 gal of water give u 1.5%

What is Sh?
when you say 1 percent, do you mean only 1 percent of SH to 99 percent water/
today i learned that if an outlet is snap crackle and popping its not a bowl of rice crispies
