It’s a “spoken word” podcast, why remaster it if you hear everything clearly? Plus depending on the equipment it was recorded on, how they ran the signal through and the software/settings they recorded it in - you can’t really make it better quality audio. I imagine if they had cleaner recordings they would have released that.

I used to worship him, but we have no real proof of how good he was, outside the family. In mma he was not good.. I think being older, I don't see him as an icon anymore. As a man, he has cheated a lot and left his son,and was always super arrogant.I met Renzo, Roger, Mauricio Gomes,Carly Gracie and they were so nice,but they knew Rickson liked to be king. Did he have a good mma fight? Absolutely not. I listened to the podcast and he said some good stuff,but as usual,it was all about what he thought.Not into listening or learning. Yes, Eddie has offended Royler by schooling him in their 2nd fight, and Rogan is in awe of all tough "manly"men, but could he have beaten Gary Tonin, or even his son Kron.? I think not

A lot of the vale tudo fights had the "no rules" taglines, but even the first ufc (as well as the Brazilian no-holds barred circuits) still implemented no biting & no eye gouging from the very beginning.

My problem with Rogan is not is knowledge but the way he slams fighters when he's not in a position to do that IMO. He's not a fighter nor has he ever been.
TheLastFraudster show me videos or examples where he "slams" fighters... he's only critiquing what they are doing and how they can IMPROVE their game... he doesn't have to be a fighter inorder to know his mma... everyone who critique and comment on other sports, movies, art, ect aren't either...
Your right he doesn't need to be a fighter however he does heavily crictize fighters from time to time and starts lecturing about what they should be doing. Which for me at this point crosses the line as he has never done it.

No. Javier Mendes? No. But yet they tell world champions what they're doing wrong on a day to day basis. We are talking about someone who is around 55 and 60 and have been involved into that lifestyle for the entire 55-60 years of his life. Martial arts are in his blood man. A true warrior to look upto.

The only person from the Gracie family that is on bad terms with Eddie Bravo is Royce Gracie, who really is one of the most irrational fighters I've ever seen.
Is he the one that said none of the Gracies doing MMA need to work on anything but jiu jitsu and that its bullshit for them to waste time on other things? I don't know if it was him or one of the others, but that's a ridiculous way to think.
Nick Stewart That would be Royce my man. Also Kron said something of the sort but their way of thinking about it is that all you need is BJJ to win a fight, because if you can't get the fight to the ground, your technique is flawed. It makes sense on paper but it is unrealistic.

Brian Heelan Maia has decent striking but he just goes to what is going to win him the fight, which is smart.
With Krons Jits I can understand,but with Royce it won't work unless opponent knows nothing on the ground.Royce is basic jits at best. Kron is a wizard, and a lot better than his old man, and less arrogant

By far one of the best podcast. Gracie talking about finding empty mind and how jiujitsu is mostly invisible can be used by everyone in life not just in the mma world.

Eddie always brings up the big nog and tim sylvia fight as justification that pulling guard can be a legit good strategy, but that's only because tim sylvia sucks so much on the ground. Do that against any competent ground fighter, and you're eating punches and losing points for being on the bottom. Submitting/sweeping them sounds good in theory but wouldn't work against anyone good.
It depnds on how good your guard is. If your guard sucks you will eat punches. If your guard is legit you can win and submit and not eat punches. However, in MMA since there are time limits the strategies of pulling guard might not be good. Sometimes though the other guy gvs you no choice and you r on your back so your guard better be good.
I would go as far to say as you should never EVER pull guard on an opponent regardless off how good your guard is.

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If you're a bjj guy who is losing a stand up battle, yeah that sucks but pulling guard ain't the solution either. Nick Diaz pulling guard vs GSP would never work. Gsp wasn't afraid of taking Nick down and just controlling the position. The top guy will always have the advantage as long as he has good bjj knowledge.
Man, Rickson simply gets it. When you hear him speak you can see that he understands what martial arts is all about from a much deeper perspective. Excellent interview.
