Excellent content in this webinar but starting around the 4 minute mark, the combination of poor audio quality, presenters' rapid speech and accent make it difficult to use this as introductory training material. I am a 64 year old senior software engineer that has worked in aerospace for over 30 years and I have worked with engineers and scientists from all over the world. I don't usually have trouble with colleagues that are not native English speakers but this presenter is very difficult to understand. This does not reflect well on Trident Infosol Pvt Ltd.
To provide an example of a presenter that speaks with clarity and is easy to understand, look at Sharath in Model Based Systems Engineering A Critical Enabler for Digital Transformation Series Part 1 of 3. Same company but a much better presentation.
The slide data is good, but the audio and speech/accent makes this extremely difficult to follow. Way too much background noise while the person is speaking. This needs to be redone and isn't nearly as professional as I was hoping.
The automated braking design fails multiple times because (apparently) poor systems engineering practices led to a faulty or incomplete design which wasn't discovered until 90+% of the development was completed. That's the "Old Fashioned Way" of doing things? No. It's the "Wrong" way of doing things. Got some news for you, from a 35+ year systems engineer. Adopting a computerized tool won't fix shoddy work. Whether an MBSE or "Old Fashioned" method are used, the end result is only as good as the quality of the effort in approaching the problem space. Use of a 'model' is only as good as the quality of the model in representing the system, and if the systems engineer doesn't realize that then no software tool or model is going to help. NASA managed to get to the moon and back several times using slide rules, their brains, and a lot of attention to detail by a large number of people. Replacing the slide rules with a slick computer based tool won't overcome a shortfall in brains or the necessary attention to detail. Absent that, you're reverting to trial and error as a design process and MBSE won't fix that.
Terrible sound quality! I'm people smacking keyboards and a dog(?) all while the speaker is presenting. Audio quality is poor too. Good material but the execution is abysmal.
