- Something for the retrogamers in the audience, Moosedance Productions presents the original Space Quest the way it ends up being played.
Stay tuned for our next exciting release:
"The @ Sign Dies a Lot in Nethack!"
"If the droid could laugh, which it is not programed to do so, it would do so."
One of the most memorable quotes from SQ4: "'Help! A giant branch has penetrated my vital organs, and I can't get up!' Seriously, did you really think this guy has time to talk to you? He's too busy being dead!"
This brings back all those nice memories of my beginning years of gaming 5/5
"That's right, the land of King's Quest. This will not help you since you are playing Space Quest."
Love that sound track!
Those old Sierra games were brutal.
I' like to see a eath highlight video of II. It had a ridiculous number of ways to die.
those were hard times for roger, i miss him. remember the sea monster (or was it an alien?) trying to solve rubic's cube? thx for bringing back exciting moments!
Great vid! This is what those old Sierra games are all about!
4:57 "You lose, homeboy!!!" I grew up playing this game, & getting 3 skulls at the slot machine was the way to die that most amused me!
I can't believe I love the intro music.
"Climb in hole" == brilliant!
Wow what a blast from the past!
I remember playing this game along time ago. It was nothing but taunting trial and error. Still a classic though, lol.
I've looked everywhere for Quest deaths! It'd be great if you posted more of these.
Those were the days man!
when my brother and i use to play this game we had so much fun. when my uncle came in one day we asked him how do u take out orat and he worked at it for 10 mins and he said well i might as well type in "stand on the rock and take a piss." this game brings back funny memories
Roger Wilco is my hero!
You can now get the Space Quest Collection on Steam
That late 80's computer generated intro music is fucking orgasmic
Love the Blues Brothers at 5:10!
LOL...i dunno why but just after 6:00 when you died by "exit craft" made me crack up
Is it available for download? It's like Hugo all over again LOL!!
1:47 is epic win. ANYYONE who has ever lived will press a "don't touch" button or input a command like that at least once. It's the law of nature, and it just feels gooooooooood.
Meebe not for Roger.... but who can resist?!?!?
I love the way this game slaps you in the face when you do anything mildly "off path".
Poor Roger, once a janitor, always a janitor.
I suppose I might take a crack at some of the other ways to die in the other games.
I'm lucky enough to have the 1986 version 1.x from an abandonware site. It has Droids R Us (not 'B').
i wish modern games had witty narration like this...
what is the name of the first song in this video? i NEED to know!!!!!
Nerf Herder's "5000 Ways to die" would have been appropriate music to play
Why Castle of Daventry has flag of Finland??
holy shit I am 32 and I totally miss playing this game! Where can I get this game again?
If I'm not mistaken, it's because without the jetpack, you can't get to the Sarien ship.
2:50
It is good to be cautious when encountering alien holes. Never know what you might catch.
good thing there is youtube, we can just watch ppl play games we are too lazy to play ourselves now :D
lol nice video! i never got past that gate on the planet that chopped you up. hehe, i wonder if someone can beat the game in 40min like that old Kings Quest video i found lol.
Record appears to be 4:52 by Santa Claus
I'm not sure why I loved these games that time and nowadays. Maybe it's because these primitive graphics forced you to carry in some kind of "imagination" which caused more fun and suspense which made these games that interesting. Or it's because I grew up with these games and it's just a good old memory. I'm curious if today's kids would love these kind of old style games too?
LOL...good old roger
WIL-CO! WIL-CO! WIL-CO!:D
Modern games again will have witty narration like this, and narrated by Gary Owens again! TTGFA are back and making a SpaceVenture!

haha, excellent, I loved all the sierra games! I tried to reply this recently... but alas, the dying all the time got me bored
the narration is rather witty, I must say.
I miss adventure game death.
this version is different from mine! i guess i have the vga? hmm... this one looks like more fun, actually...
of course, i prefer the narration in the remake.
ahahaha @ 4:49
my dad has the collectors edition parts I-V
and has part VI aswell
bah i like part 1 but 2 is kinda more annoying
Cool, well done! Memories of yesteryear, on my lousy pcjr. F##k IBM.
Oooolld school
No, not in the EGA version.
why does EGA seem to have more personality then VGA... oh right..
