    How do u know if it's the rotor position sensor and not the rotor and stator that's bad?

  • @matthewschug939
    @matthewschug939 2 года назад +6

    It's kind of common sense how to take it off and replace it. The important question is how to test it to know it's the problem. What are the voltages or resistance values I need to see to make an informed diagnosis?

      Pin 1 (common) to Pins 3 & 4 (Hall sensors 1 & 2) should be resistance of 10-12 K ohms. Pin 2 is ground

    I replaced the sensor dc-31-00098A and the machine is still not working. It starts but it doesn’t sound like any water is coming in. The water is on

    Very helpful but how can I be sure it's the sensor? The washer fills and drains, but it buzzes and stalls at the point where the drum should start agitating. I'm not seeing a code. The drum turns freely by hand. So what are the indications that I need this part please?

    I have the same stator motor on your video.
    What should the resistance values be ? I'm getting 11.8, 11.9,11.9.

      @snoopyfix2 No , the motor looked good. I did not want to go down the rabbit hole. Sold the set to a repair guy who said 90% control panel brain for 300 and bought a new LG set, never samsung again.

    Thank you so much for this video. My rpm sensor went out which caused the control board to burn up (literally). Swapped out the board and rpm sensor for just over $100 total and with a little elbow grease I am back to being Cinderella.

      How did you know that was the cause? Mine is giving a 3e1 error code, it fidgets trying to move with a slight clunk sound, then completely stops.

      Your stator windings should be 12 ohms on each of the 3 windings. The Motor Position Sensor (Hall Effect Sensor) has 4 leads: Pin 1 (common) to Pins 3 & 4 (Hall sensors 1 & 2) should be resistance of 10-12 K ohms. Pin 2 is ground
