How do u know if it's the rotor position sensor and not the rotor and stator that's bad?
Curious too
It's kind of common sense how to take it off and replace it. The important question is how to test it to know it's the problem. What are the voltages or resistance values I need to see to make an informed diagnosis?
Speaking as a retired auto mechanic.
Anybody can throw parts at it. I suppose that is what they want us to do.
Pin 1 (common) to Pins 3 & 4 (Hall sensors 1 & 2) should be resistance of 10-12 K ohms. Pin 2 is ground
I replaced the sensor dc-31-00098A and the machine is still not working. It starts but it doesn’t sound like any water is coming in. The water is on
Any way to test the sensor?
Multi meter cuz
Pin 1 (common) to Pins 3 & 4 (Hall sensors 1 & 2) should be resistance of 10-12 K ohms. Pin 2 is ground
Will this stop it it from spinning out of control and complete spin cycle?
Nice. Very detailed video. Thank you
Very helpful but how can I be sure it's the sensor? The washer fills and drains, but it buzzes and stalls at the point where the drum should start agitating. I'm not seeing a code. The drum turns freely by hand. So what are the indications that I need this part please?
What is the model number of your appliance? Have you had any recent power outages?
Yes! It's a WF42H5000AW/A2. What part do you think I need?
Have you tried to put your machine into a diagnostics mode to see if any error codes come up on it?
What did you find out currently having the same issue. Drum buzzes and twitches but will not turn on its own
I have the same stator motor on your video.
What should the resistance values be ? I'm getting 11.8, 11.9,11.9.
Did you ever figure it out?
@snoopyfix2 No , the motor looked good. I did not want to go down the rabbit hole. Sold the set to a repair guy who said 90% control panel brain for 300 and bought a new LG set, never samsung again.
I am having trouble with the bolt. Mine looks simillat but i dont feel notches and cant get a screw driver in to lock it. Tried at the both without that part but cant get enough leaverage to budge it. Mines doesnt really spin or turn more than an inch.
Same here
Thank you so much for this video. My rpm sensor went out which caused the control board to burn up (literally). Swapped out the board and rpm sensor for just over $100 total and with a little elbow grease I am back to being Cinderella.
Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you out with in the future please let us know. We will be more than happy to assist you!
How did you know that was the cause? Mine is giving a 3e1 error code, it fidgets trying to move with a slight clunk sound, then completely stops.
Your stator windings should be 12 ohms on each of the 3 windings. The Motor Position Sensor (Hall Effect Sensor) has 4 leads: Pin 1 (common) to Pins 3 & 4 (Hall sensors 1 & 2) should be resistance of 10-12 K ohms. Pin 2 is ground
Good video very helpful
no spin, no code ?? if the position sensor are defect , can i have a no code ?
Yes i change vibrating sensor , an 2 electronic module , and all the wire , ??????
I have a problem in washer samsung WF42H5000AW the error code is tE4, can you help me?
