About this game:
When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother.
Gameplay
The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. Following Isaac on his journey players will find bizarre treasures that change Isaac’s form giving him super human abilities and enabling him to fight off droves of mysterious creatures, discover secrets and fight his way to safety.

Shard of glass: Upon taking damage, adds a chance to drop a full red heart, gain 5 range, and leave a trail of damaging red creep for the current room.
a weekly daily would be awesome, its nice to see a different play style every once in a while

I know you usually don't have to care with Fistula because you have DPS and space, but he's easier if you focus down the smaller parts before breaking more of the large parts
Just saying, I love watching NL do Daylies. The competitive notion of these runs is a nice change next to all the thousands of runs where there is no actual consequence for making mistakes but dying and starting over again..
I can't wait to see tomorrow's (today's) daily. I think he's gonna love it

Yo NL, could you please swap around the reproduction list for afterbirth+? Right now its from your latest one to the first one, instead of from the first one to the last one, so you cant watch them in order, because you start at the last uploaded one. I ask this because i dont have that much time in the week to watch you, so i binge watch on weekends via the lists when i get behind but i cant anymore on afterbirth+ because of this.
I always like the dailies. It seems to get NL to play on a smarter level.

I actually really like the daily runs because it is cool to see you try and play a little more carefully, and you get to see how you do compared to everyone else. But sometimes you spend the whole commentary either complaining about the dailies or obsessing over points, and that isn't that fun. Like you said, you are actually pretty competitive, so you can't really help but get really into it. Do whatever you want for the future, NL.

At least he's not calling them just "Daily". Hope he gets creative with them and mix Daily in weird phrases.
IMO the Daily videos are a little less entertaining than the other Isaac videos, because of what you (NL) mentioned about strategy/feeling same-y. I still enjoy them. I don't care if you have similar commentary, as I enjoy the commentary regardless. So I support the Daily series, but I do prefer non-Daily run content a bit more.
Dailies , random runs , or unlock and achievement runs , i just enjoy watching and playing the Binding of Isaac tbh.
I can understand that, the way i try to look at it is RNG for better or worse.

i don't know if anyone pointed this out but the point bonus for doing the void is the same as the dark room and chest.
Sr. Egg acknowledges the red heart on the lower half of the map but forgets about the three soul hearts in the second secret room. Classic

I would like dailys more, even more then the standard runs. If the commentary wasn't about the daily and maximizing score.
I like to think of it as a challenge run each time.
The challenge runs are my favorites!
But if all he does is talk about it and go on rants, it gets dull.
I think the challenge runs do better in views as well.
Maybe he should replay them every once in a while. Or the creators throw in a weekly challenge run that's crazy.
I have seen *literally* all of your Isaac videos over the years Egg and I didn't know you could go to the Dark Room like that so your "not too hard to find seam" was considerably hard to find since you needed quite a few conditions. Shovel, Health, Knowledge, are the sacrifice rewards even seeded?
I'm loving the dailies. Keep them up!

I think he ranked so high because most people got second or third floor devil deals, since he didn't get it until floor 4, the shovel was a rarer get than he thought.

Im glad you're enjoying dailys. I do them everyday. if i cant... my day sucks, even if i die early but I'm usually top 10. but thats on ps4.
Data Miner is super garbage, I used o na breaking run i had 100+ damage multiple times, and it gave me 5 stat downs in a row. Its really really bad D8.
You just had pretty bad luck I guess.
The simple fact it can fuck your run is enuff to never be used. D8 does same thing but in a fun way instead, and if you get a bad one you can roll again and get out of it. Data Miner has no out, if its kills the run the chance if will upgrade your stats back up is minimal.
Funny because it once made me extremely powerful by raising my stats way up. It's basically just random.

That first deal with the devil had guppys tail. So not a big loss
NL you lucky son of a gun. Having the choice to avoid guillotine, thanks to getting 2nd floor devil deal I never saw dark judas, and that dataminer made it so even guillotine only brought me back to base damage. I swear halo wasn't halo either.

Noob isaac player here. can someone help me understand the logic in NLs thoughts on the plan he formulated on the mom fight/boss rush? He stated that he shouldn't ave to worry about hush and he took the polaroid because he was gambling on a self sacrifice room to bring him to the lamb. wouldn't it be better to go a floor at a time to the lamb and take the negative. assuming you can't get past satan on a mom daily, would it still be more points to go to the lamb instead of hush + void floor?
The Shovel would have taken him down to the Dark Room no matter what; normally, you need to have it to get past Sheol, but he couldn't go the normal way if he wanted to. As such, it didn't matter which he took, and The Polaroid is way better, so he took that one. I'm not really certain as to why he didn't explore every floor though...

it's kinda funny given how much crap people give him, but he's pretty good
Most of it is brought on by the sarcastic nature he puts on for entertainment and is meant in good fun. I think that he is definitely above average in play and if he did not try to put on an enjoyable performance he could probably do much "better" but that is not why people, including myself, watch these videos.

The first devil deal would have been Succubus and Incubus. You missed out on a whole lot of damage. It made the rest of the run trivial.

does this egg not realize that Re-Lax is a time based thing, and just drops poop wherever you move, so the higher the speed the more poop you get?

I took dataminer on this run. I cried.
Not sure I'm ever taking that again.
Along with a bunch of other shit, it permanently raises 1 stat and lowers another. Ended that run with about 10 fire rate, 1.5 damage, and a lot of shot speed, speed, and luck.
NL Strawmans are the best Strawmans.
